摘要： A backlight unit includes a light source part configured to emit a light and a reflective sheet disposed under the light source part. The light source part includes a first light source block including a plurality of light sources with first distances therebetween and a second light source block including a plurality of light sources with second distances therebetween. The first distances increase or decrease as the light sources of the first light source block are closer to an end portion of the first light source block than to a center portion of the first light source block, and the second distances increase as the light sources of the second light source block axe closer to an end portion of the second light source block than to a center portion of the second light source block.

摘要： An extrusion molding apparatus for a light guide plate of a display device includes: a first surface of a first body and a second surface of a second body facing each other, the first body including a first side opposite to a second side thereof in a first direction, and a gap between the first and second surfaces, from which a light guide plate material is discharged along a second direction crossing the first direction. In the second direction, each of the first and second surfaces includes, in order: a first land portion; a manifold portion at a height different from the height of a first land portion; and a discharge portion from which the light guide plate material is discharged from the extrusion molding apparatus. Along the first direction, the gap at the discharge portion increases, and a width of the manifold portion in the second direction increases.

摘要： A backlight assembly includes a light source generating light and a first optical member diffusing the light. The first optical member includes a first diffusion member provided on an exit surface of the first optical member, from which the light exits, to diffuse the light. The first diffusion member includes a plurality of edges each having a curved shape and extending between the exit surface and a vertex of the first diffusion member. Accordingly, the light exiting through the exit surface is effectively diffused by the edges of the first diffusion member.

摘要： A display device includes first light emitting devices arranged in a line in a protective member, second light emitting devices parallel to and alternately arranged with the first light emitting devices, and optical member supporters in the protective member between the first and second light emitting devices. Each optical member supporter is positioned at a center of a parallelogram defined by two adjacent first light emitting devices and two adjacent second light emitting devices, and each transparent optical member supporter includes a first surface that faces one of the first light emitting devices and a second surface opposite the first surface that faces one of the second light emitting devices. Each optical member supporter includes a plate portion having the first and second surfaces, and a hook portion that extends through the protective member. A width of the plate portion decreases with increasing distance from the hook portion.

The opposite surface faces the light incident surface. A thickness of the curved light guide plate decreases from the light incident surface to the opposite surface.

摘要： A display apparatus includes a light guide plate, a light source unit and a display panel. The light guide plate includes an incident surface, an exit surface and an opposite surface opposite to the exit surface and guides a light incident into the incident surface toward the exit surface. The light source unit includes a light source which generates light and is disposed adjacent to the incident and has an emitting surface inclined with respect to the incident surface. An extension line of a normal line of the emitting surface passes through the opposite surface, and the light is incident into the incident surface while being inclined toward the opposite surface. The display panel displays an image by receiving the light emitted from the exit surface.
