    Abstract: An emissive display device includes a substrate. A first electrode is disposed on the substrate. A pixel defining layer has a first opening exposing the first electrode. A second electrode is disposed on both the pixel defining layer and the first electrode. An encapsulation layer at least partially covers the second electrode. A light blocking layer is disposed on the encapsulation layer and has a second opening. A color filter is disposed on the light blocking layer. A scattering layer is disposed within the second opening of the light blocking layer and includes a plurality of scattering particles. Particle density of the scattering particles has a value of 1 ea/mm3 or more and 10 ea/mm3 or less, and a diameter of the scattering particles is 0.1 μm or more and 1.5 μm or less.

    Abstract: Provided is a backlight unit including a printed circuit board, a light-emitting diode package, a diffusion plate, and a reflection sheet. The light-emitting diode package including a light-emitting part configured to generate a first light. The diffusion plate includes a first diffusion pattern provided on a first region corresponding to the light-emitting diode package and a second diffusion pattern provided on a second region to have a transmittance higher than that of the first diffusion pattern. The reflection sheet includes an absorption pigment configured to absorb a fraction of the first light with a specific wavelength and converting the first light to a second light, and the reflection sheet is configured to reflect the second light toward the first diffusion pattern. The backlight unit can have improved color coordinate uniformity.

    Abstract: An optical film includes a first pattern layer including a base part and a plurality of protruding parts disposed on the base part, and having a first refractive index, and a second pattern layer disposed on the first pattern layer and having a second refractive index greater than the first refractive index. Each of the protruding parts includes a bottom surface adjacent to the base part, an upper surface opposite to the bottom surface and parallel to the bottom surface, and a side surface disposed between the bottom surface and the upper surface. The side surface includes three or more sub-inclined surfaces, inclination angles of which are different from each other, or includes a curved surface which is convex in a direction of the second pattern layer.

    Abstract: A backlight assembly includes a light guide member extending in a direction and having a light incident surface and a light exiting surface. A light source faces the light guide member and supplies light to the light guide member through the light incident surface. A reflecting member reflects light exiting from the light exiting surface of the light guide member. The reflecting member includes a groove receiving the light guide member. A first reflecting portion is disposed under the light guide member and reflects light refracted by the light guide member in an upward direction. A second reflecting portion is disposed on the light guide member and reflects light refracted by the light guide member in a downward direction.

    Abstract: An optical film includes a first pattern layer including a base part and protrusion part groups on the base part and having a first refractive index, and a second pattern layer on the first pattern layer and having a second refractive index greater than the first refractive index. Each of the protrusion part groups includes first and second protrusion parts adjacent to each other. Each of the first and second protrusion parts includes a bottom surface, an upper surface, a first side surface and a second side surface. The first and second protrusion parts are symmetrical with respect to a reference line passing through a center of each of the protrusion part groups and perpendicular to the base part. The first and second protrusion parts are asymmetrical with respect to a center line passing through a center of the upper surface and perpendicular to the bottom surface.
