Abstract: A method for manufacturing a display panel includes forming a circuit element layer including a transistor on a plurality of cell areas of a first working substrate. Each of the cell areas includes a hole area on which at least one first sub-opening groove on which the circuit element layer is not formed is located. The method further includes forming a display element layer including a light emitting element on the plurality of cell areas, removing at least one inorganic layer of the display element layer formed in the first sub-opening groove by stamping to define a second sub-opening groove, coupling the first working substrate to a second working substrate to define a working panel, and cutting the working panel into portions corresponding to the plurality of cell areas.

Abstract: A display apparatus includes: a substrate including a display area in which thin film transistors and display devices electrically connected to the thin film transistors are arranged and a first non-display area outside the display area; a through portion vertically penetrating the substrate; a second non-display area between the through portion and the display area; and an encapsulation layer on the display devices and including a first inorganic encapsulation layer, an organic encapsulation layer, and a second inorganic encapsulation layer, which are sequentially stacked. The first inorganic encapsulation layer and the second inorganic encapsulation layer extend to the through portion and directly contact each other in the second non-display area, and the first inorganic encapsulation layer directly contacts another inorganic layer thereunder in the second non-display area.

The light-emitting diode may be positioned on the display area and may include a first electrode, a second electrode, and a functional layer positioned between the first electrode and the second electrode. The first dam may be positioned on the intermediate area. The crack sensing member may be positioned farther from the transmission area than the first dam. The planarization layer may be positioned on the crack sensing member.

The second electrode may include a first portion that is not overlapped with the module hole and has a first thickness and a second portion between the module hole and the first portion and having a thickness that gradually increases in a direction toward the first portion.
