An electronic device and method for displaying phone call content are provided. The electronic device includes a communication unit configured to transmit and receive voice data during a phone call connection, an audio unit configured to input and output voice data, an input unit configured to receive a user input, a controller configured to determine whether a connected phone call corresponds to an automatic response system (ARS) phone call, and convert received voice data into text data when the connected phone call corresponds to the ARS phone call, and a display unit configured to display the converted text data.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for reducing power consumption in a portable terminal are provided. The apparatus includes a display unit for displaying at least one indicator that indicates status information measured by a slave processor, a master processor for controlling one of ON and OFF of the display unit and for providing image data to the display unit, and the slave processor for transmitting to the master processor indicator update information for updating the at least one indicator, wherein transmission to the master processor of the indicator update information is discontinued if the status of the display unit is OFF.

An electronic device may include: a communication circuit configured to support cellular communication through a terrestrial network and a non-terrestrial network, a memory configured to store mapping data obtained by mapping identification information of the non-terrestrial network and a service supported by the non-terrestrial network, and at least one communication processor. One or more of the at least one communication processor may be configured to: search for a cell corresponding to another network within a specified distance with reference to a location of the electronic device, based on the non-terrestrial network having a highest priority with respect to communication connection, determine, based on another network having a lower priority than the non-terrestrial network being found, whether an emergency call is supported on another network having the lower priority, and perform, based on the emergency call being supported on another network having the lower priority, camp-on on another network having the lower priority, wherein the camp-on includes monitoring, by the electronic device, system information and paging information in a newly selected cell based on cell reselection.

The electronic device includes at least one first communication device supporting at least one short-range communication, at least one second communication device supporting cellular communication, and at least one processor. The at least one processor may be configured to transmit a first message for requesting first information to an external electronic device supporting the short-range communication through the at least one first communication device, based on the execution command of the first application, receive a second message including the first information, compare the first information and the second information, transmit and/or receive data corresponding to the first application to and/or from the server through a part of the at least one second communication device, based on the electronic device being determined as the primary device, based on a comparison result of the first information and the second information.
