Disclosed is an electrolyte for a battery comprising: (a) an electrolyte salt; (b) an organic solvent; and (c) a functional electrolyte additive. An electrochemical device comprising the electrolyte is also disclosed. The additive used in the electrochemical device effectively controls the surface of a cathode active material, which otherwise causes side reactions with an electrolyte, due to the basic skeleton structure and polar side branches of the additive. Therefore, it is possible to improve the safety of a battery, while not adversely affecting the quality of a battery.

The present invention relates to a crosslinking agent comprising methyl siloxane polymer of a backbone having a polyalkylene oxide group as a branch group and acryl groups at both ends, and a crosslinkable solid polymer electrolyte composition comprising a crosslinking agent, a lithium salt, an organic solvent, and a curing initiator mixed in a certain ratio. The crosslinkable solid polymer electrolyte composition has a high ionic conductivity at room temperature and can be readily formed into a film and is thus suitable for use in large-size lithium-polymer secondary batteries applicable to electric cars, power storage devices for power leveling and the like, as well as in small-size lithium-polymer secondary batteries applicable to video cameras, portable data terminals such as cellular phones and notebook computers, and the like.

The present invention relates to fullerene derivatives and an organic electronic device using the same, and more specifically, to a novel fullerene derivative incorporating an aromatic fused ring compound and to an organic electronic device with excellent electrical properties by employing the fullerene derivative. In more detail, the novel fullerene derivative incorporating an aromatic fused ring compound according to the present invention exhibits excellent solubility in organic solvents and has a high electrochemical electron mobility and a high LUMO energy level, thereby making the fullerene derivative a suitable material for organic solar cells featuring a high open circuit voltage (Voc) and an improved energy conversion efficiency, or applicable for use in organic electronic devices such as organic thin film transistors.
