摘要： A display apparatus includes a display panel and a backlight unit for an embodiment. The display panel includes a plurality of pixels and the backlight unit supplies light to the display panel. The backlight unit includes a light source, which generates the light, and an optical sheet. The optical sheet includes a plurality of prism patterns formed on a surface of the optical sheet facing the display panel. The prism patterns include a plurality of peaks and a plurality of valleys to change the path of the light, and a plurality of diffusion patterns arranged at the peaks and valleys.

摘要： A backlight assembly includes an optical member that diffuses light generated from lamps. The optical member includes first and second diffusion members that are designed to have light transmittance that complementarily vary according to areas. Thus, an optical member capable of supplying light having uniform brightness onto the whole display area of the LCD is easily designed.

摘要： In one embodiment, a light diffusion plate includes a base layer and a plurality of diffusion dots. The base layer includes a first surface and a second surface facing the first surface. A plurality of unit areas is defined on the first surface. The light diffusion dots are respectively formed in the unit areas, and formed having a random pattern so that the area of each of the light diffusion dots irregularly varies along arbitrary directions on the first surface.
