摘要: A battery, including an adhesive, where the adhesive is provided between a packaging bag and the battery cell, and the adhesive is adhered to an outer surface of the battery cell. The adhesive includes an adhesive layer, where the adhesive layer includes an adhesive material and a heat-absorbing material. When the temperature of the battery cell is 130° C., an adhesion force between the adhesive and the outer surface of the battery cell is m, and m satisfies m≥3 N. At room temperature (25° C.), the adhesive can be fixed to the outer surface of the battery cell. When the temperature of the battery cell rises, the adhesive can still be adhered to the outer surface of the battery cell, reducing the temperature of the battery cell and increasing the critical temperature for thermal runaway of the battery cell.

摘要: “Spacerless” cell block assemblies are provided for traction battery packs. Exemplary cell block assemblies may include a battery cell grouping, a bus bar module, and a heat exchanger plate. The battery cell grouping may be arranged between the bus bar module and the heat exchanger plate. The bus bar module may provide first spacer features, and the heat exchanger plate may provide second spacer features. The first and second spacer features cooperate to maintain air gaps between adjacent battery cells of the battery cell grouping.

摘要: A vehicle battery pack included in a vehicle includes a battery module, vaporized gas release valves, a coupling duct, and a detection sensor. The battery module includes battery cells and partitions. The partitions are arranged between the battery cells in an arrangement direction of the battery cells, include a heat insulator, and are filled with a cooling solvent. The vaporized gas release valves operate by an increase in pressure associated with vaporization of the cooling solvent in the partitions and release a vaporized gas generated by the vaporization from the partitions. The coupling duct couples the vaporized gas release valves. The detection sensor detects a release of the vaporized gas through the vaporized gas release valves.

摘要: Described herein are swappable battery modules comprising immersion-thermally controlled prismatic battery cells and methods of operating thereof. A method comprises positioning a swappable battery module on an external charger comprising charger fluidic ports and sliding the swappable battery module to the charger fluidic ports until these charger's ports are fluidically coupled with the module's fluidic ports. Specifically, the external charger comprises an enclosure and a module support rail slidably coupling the swappable battery module and the enclosure. The module support rail comprises a rail base, a first slider, a second slider, and a lever-based unit, interconnecting the rail base and both sliders. The rail base is fixed to the enclosure, while the second slider is detachably coupled to the module. The two sliders move at different speeds or at the same speed relative to the charger base depending on proximity of the first end plate to the charger base.

摘要: A battery module includes a first pouch battery cell and a neighboring second pouch battery cell. The battery module also includes a dielectric fluid in direct contact with and in circulation over and around each of the first and second pouch cells. The battery module additionally includes an immersion barrier positioned between the first and second pouch cells and defining an opening for controlling passage of the dielectric fluid between the first and the second pouch cells. The barrier thereby facilitates localization of a thermal runaway event in the first pouch cell by minimizing transfer of high temperature gases between the first and the second pouch cells via the dielectric fluid and controls propagation of the thermal runaway event in the module. The battery module further includes an enclosure housing and retaining each of the first and second pouch cells, the dielectric fluid, and the immersion barrier.

摘要: A modular battery system includes a plurality of electrical storage cell modules having a cell housing and an adapter connection, and a modular unit having a base housing containing a battery management system for monitoring and controlling the charging and discharging of the plurality of electrical storage cell modules. A plurality of adapter connection points for reversibly receiving the adapter connections are adapted to the shape of the adapter connections. The adapter connection points and adapter connections have electrical contacts that correspond to one another. At least one interface is arranged on the base housing for electrically connecting the modular unit to a consumer and/or supplier system. Power electronics arranged in the base housing transmit electrical energy between the interface and the storage cell modules. The base housing has at least one opening for removing and/or introducing the plurality of storage cell modules in relation to the adapter connection points.
