    摘要: Each of moire elements which are repeat elements of first-order moire appearing by overlaying halftone images of first and second color components is positioned at one of candidate positions arranged at a moire pitch Pm in first and second moire directions orthogonal to each other. In a matrix area of a third color component, dot centers are arranged in a first tilt direction tilted relatively to the first moire direction by an angle of arctan((Pm)/(Pm)) and a second tilt direction orthogonal to the first tilt direction at a pitch of the square root of ((Pm2)+(Pm2)), and a threshold matrix of the color component is generated so that a halftone dot grows from each dot center in accordance with increase of gray level of the color component of the original image. Thus, it is possible to suppress second-order moire appearing in overlaying halftone images of the first to third color components.

    摘要: An inspection apparatus (1) has an image pickup part (2) for performing an image pickup of a substrate (9), an operation part (4) to which an image signal is inputted from said image pickup part (2) and a computer (5), and the operation part (4) specifies an inspection image and a reference image from an object image acquired by the image pickup part (2). In the operation part (4), a region class to which each pixel of the specified inspection image belongs is specified on the basis of a corresponding pixel value of the reference image. In a comparator circuit of the operation part (4), a differential absolute value between each pixel of the inspection image and a corresponding pixel of the reference image is calculated and the differential absolute value is compared with a defect check threshold value in accordance with the specified region class, to perform defect check. The inspection apparatus (1) can thereby appropriately detect a defect in accordance with the region class to which each pixel belongs.

    摘要: A direction detector operates for detecting a direction of feed of a recording tape. A timer operates for counting pulses of a clock signal, and outputting a signal representing a first count value. A second count value is generated which corresponds to a pulse width related to a first bit represented by an input time code signal reproduced from the recording tape. The first count value which occurs at a first time point and the second count value are added into a first addition-result value. An output time code signal is inverted when the first count value currently represented by the output signal of the timer comes equal to the first addition-result value. A second bit is selected from among bits represented by the input time code signal in response to the direction detected by the direction detector. The second bit to be selected neighbors the first bit in a normal time direction when the detected direction agrees with a forward direction. The second bit to be selected neighbors the first bit in a reverse time direction when the detected direction agrees with a reverse direction. A third count value is generated which corresponds to a pulse width related to the second bit. The first count value which occurs at a second time point after the first time point and the third count value are added into a second addition-result value. The first addition-result value is updated into the second addition-result value.

    摘要: In a matrix area, a plurality of linear areas each of which extends in a tilt direction tilted relatively to row and column directions are arranged in a direction perpendicular to the tilt direction without spaces, and the plurality of linear areas are alternatively assigned to first and second element groups along an arrangement direction. One element is specified in each element group, and subsequently a process of specifying an element farthest from the specified elements is repeated, to acquire a turn-on order of dots with increase in gray level in one grayscale range and a turn-off order of dots with decrease in gray level in the remaining grayscale range, and a threshold value of each element is determined according to these orders. Thus, generated is a threshold matrix capable of reducing graininess in a halftone image with directionality in the tilt direction, and improving the reproduction of thin lines and characters.

The dot growth speed of the halftone cells (720) in the first group is higher than that of the halftone cells (730) in the second group. This allows formation of fine halftone dots consisting of the halftone cells in the first and second groups, and it is possible to reduce banding appearing in a main scan direction during recording of the halftone dots, with low-frequency components in spatial frequency of the halftone dots caused by the halftone cells (720) in the first group.

    摘要: In a printer, threshold matrixes are prepared so that, in a color halftone image generated with the threshold matrixes, cell centers are arranged randomly, a direction where intervals of cell centers for cyan are maximum and a direction where intervals of cell centers for magenta are maximum are different, and the both directions are tilted relatively to a column direction corresponding to a scan direction of a head. A check pattern is recorded with the threshold matrix for each color component by the head, print densities in positions in a width direction of the check pattern, which corresponds to an arrangement direction of outlets in the head, are measured to acquire modification coefficients and then pixel values of an original image are modified by using the modification coefficients. This makes it possible to print a color halftone image with less graininess, without causing a beat pattern and streak unevenness.
