摘要： Provided is a method of driving a barrier panel device. Segment driving voltages are controlled to be applied to a plurality of segments of a first electrode of a barrier panel based on a display direction of an image signal displayed on an image display panel of an apparatus for reproducing a 3D image. An odd barrier driving voltage is controlled to be commonly applied to odd numbered barriers of a plurality of barriers of a second electrode of the barrier panel. An even barrier driving voltage is controlled to be commonly applied to even numbered barriers of the plurality of barriers. The segment driving voltage, the odd barrier driving voltages, and the even barrier driving voltages are synchronized.

摘要： Provided is a highly efficient two-dimensional (2D)/three-dimensional (3D) image switchable stereoscopic display. The stereoscopic display apparatus includes: a backlight unit which has a reflective plate disposed on a bottom surface thereof; a polarizer which only transmits light of a specific polarization direction emitted from the backlight unit; a first birefringent element array including a plurality of alternating first and second birefringent elements that change the polarization direction of incident light; a second birefringent element array including a plurality of alternating third and fourth birefringent elements that change the polarization direction of incident light; a reflective polarizing sheet which transmits light of a specific polarization direction transmitted by the second birefringent element array while reflecting light of another polarization direction transmitted by the second birefringent element array; and a display panel which displays an image.

摘要： A three-dimensional (3D) display panel, a 3D display apparatus using the same, and a driving method thereof are provided. The 3D display apparatus includes: an image display panel which displays an image; a phase shift panel which alternately shifts a polarization direction of light outputted from the image display panel; a backlight unit which provides a backlight; and a control unit which turns off the backlight unit during a crosstalk period where the phase shift panel performs the shift operation and to turn on the backlight unit for a stabilization period after the crosstalk period.
