    Abstract: A display device is provided. The display device includes a display panel, a scaler integrated circuit, and a backlight device. The backlight device includes N light zones for providing a backlight to the display panel, wherein N is a positive integer. The backlight device lights each of the N light zones in a time-sharing manner in each of a plurality of scan periods. Each of the scan periods has a time length greater than or equal to a time length of a video active data period of the display panel. A continuous lighting time length of each of the N light zones is less than or equal to a quotient of the time length of the video active data period divided by N.

    Abstract: A light source driving circuit and a communication device for display system are provided. The communication device includes a control unit and at least one string light source driving circuit. The control unit includes an output interface for transmitting control commands or data and a data reading back input interface. Each string light source driving circuit includes a plurality of light source driving circuits, and each light source driving circuit interface includes a serial input interface, a serial output interface, parallel interfaces, and at least one current output interface. The serial input interface and serial output interface of the plurality of light source driving circuits are cascaded with each other as a first channel of the control commands or data transmission. The parallel interfaces of each driving circuit in the plurality of driving circuits are coupled with each other as a second channel of the control commands and data transmission.

    Abstract: A backlight driving method is provided. The method includes: determining a first duration of a first active pulse phase in a backlight driving signal corresponding to a target frame of a to-be displayed picture in a display panel, based on a target duty ratio and a first period corresponding to a target previous frame; wherein the target previous frame is a frame preceding the target frame, and the backlight driving signal is configured to drive a backlight of the display panel; and determining a second duration based on a maximum period corresponding to a frame at a lowest refresh frequency of the display panel and the first period, to delay a start time of the first active pulse phase based on the second duration.

    Abstract: A display device includes: a display panel with pixel rows; a light source device having light emission regions; and a controller configured to control light emission of the light emission regions. A second period is shorter than a first period. The first period is a period from a drive timing of one or more pixel rows that are driven first to a drive timing of one or more other pixel rows that are driven last. The second period is a period from a light emission timing of one or more light emission regions that emit light first to a light emission timing of one or more other light emission regions that emit light last. The light emission timing of the one or more light emission regions that emit light first is different from the light emission timing of the one or more other light emission regions that emit light last.
