    摘要: Liquid developing method and liquid developing device for developing an electrostatic latent image formed on a latent image carrying member via a toner dispersed in a carrier liquid. An electrostatic latent image is formed on an image carrying surface, a liquid developer layer having a bottom layer of toner particles as the main constituent and a top layer of liquid carrier as the main constituent is formed on a developer holding surface and the electrostatic image is contacted with the top layer without substantially contacting the bottom layer with the image carrying surface. A member for maintaining a clearance between an image carrying member and a developer holding member at a predetermined space in which the top layer contacts with the electrostatic latent image without contacting the bottom layer to the image carrying member is provided.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus having an image carrying member onto which an electrostatic latent image is formed, a developing device that accommodates a liquid developer including toner particles for forming a toner image on the image carrying member by developing the electrostatic latent image, and an intermediate transfer member onto which .is transferred the toner image formed on the surface the image carrying member.     摘要: The invention provides the following liquid developers (1)-(5). (1) A liquid developer including a carrier liquid having an aniline point of 80.degree. C. to 100.degree. C.; and at least one compound selected from among Color Index Pigment Yellow 180, Color Index Solvent Yellow 162 and derivatives of these. (4) A liquid developer including a carrier liquid; at least one compound selected from among an oil-soluble ionic surfactant having alkyl group(s) of at least 20 carbon atoms, and a copolymer of a monomer having a nitrogen-containing group and a long-chain (meth)acrylate; and toner containing at least one compound selected from among Color Index Pigment Yellow 180, Color Index Solvent Yellow 162 and derivatives of these. (5) A liquid developer including a carrier liquid; and toner containing Color Index Pigment Yellow 180 and having volume average particle size of 0.5 .mu.m to 5 .mu.m.

    摘要: A liquid developer for electrophotography using a polyester resin as a toner binder resin which is suitable for high-speed systems and has excellent stability over time is disclosed.The invention is a novel liquid developer for electrophotography having colored particles dispersed in an electrically insulated fluid medium. The liquid developer includes an oil-soluble ionic surface active agent as a charge controller. According to one embodiment, the colored particles include a binder resin having an acid value of 40 mgKOH/g or higher but less than or equal to 100 mgKOH/g. According to another embodiment, the colored particles include a binder resin having a glass transition temperature Tg of 35.degree. C. or higher but less than or equal to 65.degree. C.
