Abstract: The flow conditioner comprises a diffusor with a guide system arranged within its lumen, a flow rectifier with a disc shaped flow obstruction arranged within its lumen, wherein the flow obstruction has a plurality of flow openings, as well as a confusor, wherein diffusor, flow rectifier and confusor are connected fluidically in series to form a flow path extending from a flow opening of the diffusor to a flow opening of the confusor and involving the lumina of diffusor, flow rectifier and confusor. The guide system of the diffusor includes a sleeve shaped deflection means as well as a plurality of mutually separated connecting elements connected both with the deflection means as well as with the wall of the diffusor. The guide system is so formed and so positioned that the deflection means is spaced from the wall of the diffusor and arranged coaxially with the lumen of the diffusor.

Abstract: A thermal flowmeter includes: a measuring tube; a sensor having a main sensor body and four probes designed to heat the medium, determine the temperature thereof, or influence the flow of the medium in the measuring tube; and an electronic measuring/operating circuit, wherein the probe bodies span a rhombus on the surface of the main sensor body. A first diagonal of the rhombus is parallel to the measuring tube axis, and a second diagonal lies in the measuring tube cross-section. A first probe and a second probe are designed to heat the medium, and at least a third probe is designed to determine the temperature of the medium. The first probe and the second probe are arranged on the first diagonal, and the at least one third probe is arranged on the second diagonal.

Abstract: A fluid monitoring system is provided, which includes a control unit and at least one fluid pressure recorder. The recorder is configured for direct connection to a pipeline portion of a system to be monitored and includes upstream and downstream pressure sensors. The control unit is configured to detect, and provide for display or trigger an action, in the event that a new downstream pressure is more than a threshold number of standard deviations above or below a mean downstream pressure determined from prior readings of the downstream pressure—even though neither the minimum nor maximum pressure of the pipeline portion is reached. A fluid monitoring system for a regulator on a pipeline system is also provided.

Abstract: A flow sensor system for detecting the presence or absence of flow of a liquid nutrient formula through a conduit of an enteral feeding system. The flow sensor system includes a channel configured to retain the conduit therein, a heat source disposed at a first location at a first portion of the conduit, and a heat detector disposed at a second location at a second portion of the conduit. The heat source may include an IR LED, and the heat detector may include a thermopile sensor. A method for using the flow sensor system to detect the presence or absence of flow of a liquid nutrient formula through a conduit of an enteral feeding system is also disclosed.

Abstract: A Wheatstone bridge flowmeter is provided with a flow channel on a top surface of the base substrate, with two resistors of the Wheatstone bridge in thermal communication with the flow channel. One resistor in the flow channel, on one side of the Wheatstone bridge, has a negative coefficient of resistance (NTC) and the other resistor in the flow channel, on the other side of the Wheatstone bridge, has a positive coefficient of resistance (PTC). At least two of the resistors in the Wheatstone bridge are mounted in at least one cavity space, so that one resistor on each side of the Wheatstone bridge is in thermal isolation from the flow channel, thereby allowing sensing of voltages across the Wheatstone bridge according to fluid flow through the flow channel.

Abstract: A housing has a front surface, a rear surface, and side surface connecting the front surface with the rear surface. The housing is formed by injection molding. A first sub-passage is formed in the housing and communicates a first sub-passage inlet formed in the front surface with a first sub-passage outlet formed in the rear surface. A second sub-passage is formed in the housing and communicates a second sub-passage inlet formed in a midway portion of the first sub-passage with a second sub-passage outlet at a position different from the first sub-passage outlet. A flow rate detection unit is provided in the second sub-passage. A mold parting mark is formed in the rear surface of the housing at a position away from an inner opening edge of the first sub-passage outlet.

Abstract: Provide a flow measuring device which inhibits a reduction of flow detection accuracy, which is caused by an influence of a bottom flow which is flowed and inputted from a fit gap between a flow detecting element and an installing portion of the flow detecting element. A concave portion, which inhibits an influence of a bottom flow which is flowed and inputted from a fit gap between an installing portion and a flow detecting element, is provided at a bottom surface of the installing portion of a plate which is positioned on a projected area of a cavity of the flow detecting element.
