摘要: A liquid crystal display unit comprising a condenser lens, incident-side polarizing plate, liquid crystal panel and emanating-side polarizing plate is disposed in an optical path from a light source toward a projection lens. A cooler comprising a closed flat platelike glass container and a refrigerant enclosed in the container with a vacuum space of specified volume left therein is joined to each of the incident-side polarizing plate and the liquid crystal panel over an effective image area. The incident-size polarizing plate and the liquid crystal panel are prevented from overheating by the spontaneous convection and evaporation of the refrigerant and the condensation thereof within the space.

摘要: A flat color CRT having a phosphor screen comprises red, green and, blue primary phosphor color stripes arranged at a spacing, and phosphor index stripes arranged in some of the spaces between the phosphor color stripes in a definite relation thereto. A black nonluminescent substance is provided between the phosphor index stripes and positioned at least in the spaces between the phosphor color stripes, and a metallic layer of sufficient thickness formed on the inner side of a tube panel and positioned in a corresponding relationship to the phosphor color stripes.

摘要: In a flat luminescent lamp fitted to an under surface of the liquid crystalline TV display panel to backlight its image, a pair of the electrode plates 14 of cold cathode type are opposingly positioned in the cavity. The electrode plate has a concave cross section, auxiliary electrodes on each electrode plate project toward the other electrode plate from both terminations and has a lead plate projecting outwardly in the same direction as the extract tube of the lamp.

摘要: An ion wind generator (20) is arranged on one side of a light source (1). The ion wind generator (20) produces an air current by negatively ionizing air by corona discharges at a needle electrode (21), or negative side, and drawing the negatively-ionized air at a cylindrical electrode (22), or positive side. The air current blows toward the light source (1) and removes heat generated by the light source (1). An ultraviolet ray from the light source (1) is introduced to a vent of the ion wind generator (20) by a first dichroic mirror (4) and a ultraviolet ray reflection mirror (17). Though air exhausted from the vent includes ozone (o3) produced by corona discharges, the ozone is decomposed by the ultraviolet ray.

The stimulator includes a combination of a negative pressure generator and a water spouting gun. The generator applies a suction force to the cup when water is passed through the generator. The gun is designed to direct water spouts toward the breast when water is supplied to the gun. A changeover valve supplies water to a selected one of the generator and the gun.
