    Abstract: A system and method provide feedback to a user, such as a visually impaired user, to guide the user to an object in the field of view of a camera mounted on a frame worn on the head of the user. A processor identifies at least one object and a body part of the user in the field of view of the camera and tracks relative positions of the body part relative to the identified object. The processor also generates and communicates at least one control signal for guiding the body part of the user to the identified object to a user feedback device worn on or adjacent the body part of the user. The feedback device receives the control signal(s) and converts the control signal(s) into at least one of sounds or haptic feedback that guides the body part to the identified object.

    Abstract: The subject technology receives, by a client device from a storage device, first image data captured by the client device at a previous time. The subject technology receives first metadata corresponding to at least a first image processing operation and a second image processing operation. The subject technology generates, in a first render pass, second image data based on the first metadata and the image processing operation performed on the first image data. The subject technology generates, in a second render pass, third image data based on the first metadata and the second image processing operation performed on the second image data. The subject technology generates second metadata comprising information corresponding to the third image data. The subject technology generates a composite AR content item comprising the second metadata, the third image data, and the first image data.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for using optical barcodes without orientation for information access are provided. In example embodiments, a computer accesses an image including data encoded within a geometric shape. The computer decodes, for each of a plurality of orientations of the geometric shape, a first portion of the data encoded within the geometric shape. The computer determines that, for one of the plurality of orientations, the first portion of the data encoded within the geometric shape decodes to a predefined number. The computer determines that the one of the plurality of orientations is an intended orientation for the geometric shape. The computer decodes, based on the intended orientation of the geometric shape, a second portion of the data encoded within the geometric shape. The computer accesses, via a network, a resource that corresponds to the decoded second portion of the data.
