Abstract:
Systems and methods for mapping viewable and non-viewable media to websites are disclosed. Mapping is executed through associated or embedded data, based upon frame and/or time segment of the media. The media-to-browser-destination-data (MBDD) may be embedded in media content, embedded in a transmitted signal, downloaded or pushed to a media playing device, or provided by a graphic overlay. Media players are disclosed that can process the MBDD to launch a browser to a selected web site.
Abstract:
An expandable button assembly for a garment having a tab portion with a button mounted thereon. The tab portion is at least partially made of an elastic material to allow for the tab to expand or stretch during a pulling of the button. When the button is incorporated into a collar of a shirt, the design allows for the collar to be expanded as far as the elastic material in the tab will allow. Thus, if the collar is too small for the wearer in an un expanded condition, the collar will expand to allow the shirt to be worn without discomfort and without any additions to the shirt.
Abstract:
A balance board for exercising, sports training, recreation and the like, uses a board member that rides along a roller along either the central longitudinal axis of the board member or along the central vertical axis of the board member. Stop members are removably attached to the board member for limiting the range or ride of the board member with respect to the roller on either axis and to further selectively vary the distance of travel of the board member when it is traveling on its longitudinal axis.
Abstract:
A client device (6) may be connected to a network (2) through a private network and one of several connection servers (10, 11, 12, 13) associated with a router (1). In such a configuration a server (5) external to the private network cannot provide a complete routing address for data to be transmitted to the device (6), as it does not have visibility of the control processors (10, 11, 12, 13). To allow such connection to be made, when a connection request for a target client device (6) is transmitted from an external server (5) to the router (1), the router retrieves connection history of the target device (6) from each of the connection servers, and the router 1 then attempts communication with the client device 6 through the connection server (10) reporting the most recent connection.
Abstract:
A method and structure for providing a resilient seal system in the gap or joint between adjacent construction panels utilizing a foaming expansive elastic closed-cell liquid-impermeable sealant, a backer rod and a seal. The foaming expansive elastic closed-cell liquid-impermeable sealant is first introduced to the gap or joint between the adjacent construction panels. A seal is introduced into or over the gap after the foaming expansive elastic closed-cell liquid-impermeable sealant has sufficiently cured. In alternative embodiment a backer rod is located intermediate the sealant and seal as a spacing member.
Abstract:
A power management circuit for a remote access platform extracts power from a wireline for powering a ring generator that generates a ringing voltage signal that is distributed to a plurality of subscriber circuits. A power-limited voltage converter steps up the wireline voltage to a higher ‘isolating’ voltage, charging a capacitor coupled to the ring generator. A monitor circuit reduces the power that the power-limited voltage converter can draw, if the wireline voltage drops too low. This prevents the wireline voltage from collapsing should the remote terminal be deployed at a distance from wireline voltage source (the central office) greater than its specified capability.
Abstract:
A modulo mi adder and a modulo mi,j scaling unit for use with an RNS. The adder includes a modulo mi barrel shifter, and a dynamic storage unit coupled to the barrel shifter to store the output of the barrel shifter. In a preferred embodiment, the dynamic storage unit includes one dynamic latch for each output line of the barrel shifter, with each of the dynamic latches including a clocked inverter in cascade with an inverter. One modulo mi,j scaling unit includes a modified modulo mi barrel shifter that performs both residue conversion and an arithmetic operation. The residue conversion is performed without using combinational logic. In one preferred embodiment, the modified barrel shifter performs the residue conversion though mi-mj additional columns that replicate normal columns for all modulo mi input lines that are congruent modulo mj. Another modulo mi,j scaling unit includes a barrel shifter-based arithmetic circuit, and a dynamic storage unit coupled to the arithmetic circuit to store the output of the arithmetic circuit.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus detects a ground fault on a span-powered telecommunication wireline within a plurality of span-powered wireline segments, to respective ones of which DSL-Cs are coupled, so that a ground fault may be detected when power is delivered by the DSL-C over a respective wireline segment to a respective downstream functional RT. A respective DSL-C measures a first voltage across a first sense resistor representative of current flowing in a first portion of its wireline segment to the RT, and also measures a second voltage across a second sense resistor representative of current flowing in a second portion of the wireline segment from the RT. In response to a difference in the first and second voltages an output representative of a ground fault in that wireline segment is generated.
