Abstract:
A cover-type apparatus with a simplified locking structure includes a first body, a second body and an interlocking mechanism for fastening the second body and the first body together. The interlocking mechanism includes a hook disposed on the first body, and an elastic member disposed on the second body and being engageable with the hook. The elastic member deforms elastically in response to a force exerted thereon by the hook.
Abstract:
A transmission mechanism for switching output powers includes first to fourth transmission gears, first and second power-connecting members and a driving mechanism. The first power-connecting member coaxially disposed between the first and second transmission gears is moved axially, and connects the first and second transmission gears together to transmit power to the second transmission gear. The second power-connecting member coaxially disposed between the third and fourth transmission gears is moved axially and connects the third and fourth transmission gears together to transmit power to the fourth transmission gear. The driving mechanism synchronously drives the first and second power-connecting members to move axially to selectively connect the first transmission gear to the second transmission gear, or connect the third transmission gear to the fourth transmission gear. A scanning apparatus using the transmission mechanism is also disclosed.
Abstract:
In a scan apparatus, a sheet feeder having a sheet-stopping function includes a rotating shaft, a sheet-input roller, a pick-up mechanism and a sheet-stopping mechanism. The pick-up mechanism, including a bracket mounted on the rotating shaft and a pick-up roller mounted on the bracket, picks up a sheet from a paper tray. The sheet-stopping mechanism, driven independent of movement of the bracket by the rotating shaft, switches between a sheet-stopping state and a sheet-non-stopping state. The rotating shaft rotates in a first direction to enable the sheet-stopping mechanism to enter the sheet-non-stopping state and rotates in a second direction to enable the sheet-stopping mechanism to enter the sheet-stopping state, in which a passage to the sheet-input roller is blocked up.
Abstract:
A calibration mechanism of a scanning device including an assembly of a flexible member and a calibration strip and a limiting member is disclosed. The assembly of the flexible member and the calibration strip can travels in reciprocating motion, and the limiting element limits the distance of the vertical drift of the calibration strip. Thus, the calibration strip is confined within an anticipated position, the accuracy and the consistency of the calibration results for an optical module of the scanner, which acquires image data of a plurality of the scanning lines of the calibration strip, are greatly improved.
Abstract:
A paper pick-up mechanism for a feeder includes a pick-up roller, a pick-up roller shaft, a separation roller, a transmission shaft, a gear set and a transmission gear shaft. Two one-way clutches are respectively coupled to the transmission shaft and the transmission gear shaft in parallel. When the transmission shaft is rotated in a direction opposite to a sheet-feeding direction, the gear set, through the cooperation of the two one-way clutches are used as a planetary gear set to lift up the pick-up roller.
Abstract:
A sheet transporting apparatus includes a housing, a rotating shaft, a roller and a gear assembly. The housing includes a first supporting member and a second supporting member. The rotating shaft is rotatably mounted in the housing. The rotating shaft has a first end portion mounted in the first supporting member, and a second end portion mounted in the second supporting member. The roller is attached to the rotating shaft and rotated by the roller to transport a document sheet. The gear assembly, coupled to the second end portion, transmits power to the rotating shaft. The gear assembly includes a gear member and a coupling member, rotatable with the gear member, for securing the second end portion to the second supporting member.
Abstract:
A structure of a scanning window of an image scanning device has a housing, a transparent platen, a plurality of bases and a plurality of supporting blocks. The bases are formed on the inner walls of the housing. The supporting blocks are disposed on the bases and each supporting block has a supporting part. The transparent platen is disposed between the top portion of the housing and the supporting parts. Thus, the transparent platen is fixed in place by the supporting parts and the top portion of the image scanning device.
