    摘要: A medium handover device is provided including: a fixed peripheral side section that covers portions of side faces enclosing a periphery of a collection space in which a paper sheet shaped medium is collected, other than at least a portion of an opposing side face opposing a medium support section supporting the medium inside the collection space, which portion is open, and other than at least a portion of an adjacent side face adjacent to the opposing side face, which portion is open; a lid section that has a shape covering portions of the side faces enclosing the periphery of the collection space that are not covered by the fixed peripheral side section; a transition section that transitions the lid section to enable the lid section to adopt a closed state with respect to the fixed peripheral side section in which the lid section is close to or abutting the fixed peripheral side section and the collection space is closed, and to adopt an open state with respect to the fixed peripheral side section in which at least a portion of the lid section is separated from the fixed peripheral side section and the collection space is opened; and a transfer section that transfers the medium between an interior and an exterior of the collection space.

    摘要: A roll stand assembly for processing a sheet product with a plurality of rolls on a frame. A first roll has a first sheet engaging surface and a first shaft assembly. A second roll has a second sheet engaging surface and a second shaft assembly. The first and second rolls are relatively movable between: a) an operating relationship; and b) an open relationship. A safety assembly prevents inadvertent changing of the first and second rolls from the open relationship into the operating relationship. The safety assembly includes a first chuck component mounted for movement relative to the frame between: a) a running position wherein the safety assembly is in a disengaged state; and b) a lockout position.

    摘要: A card reader that can prevent phishing and causes no damage on a card in the case where no phishing comes up. A card reader equipped with a card transfer mechanism for taking in and ejecting a card includes a gate mechanism, in which formed is an insertion & ejection slot for inserting and ejecting the card. A protrusion protruding toward an ejecting direction of the card is formed in the gate mechanism. Furthermore, the gate mechanism includes: a card detection mechanism for detecting the card having been ejected by the card transfer mechanism to a pullout-enabled position where a user of the card reader can pull out the card; and a card pullout prevention mechanism for protecting the card from being pulled out when the card is not ejected to the pullout-enabled position at the time of ejecting the card. The card detection mechanism is placed inside the protrusion.

    摘要: A paper sheet handling apparatus 1 includes: a casing which includes a first face and a second face opposed to the first face; a receiving unit 211 which receives paper sheets; a recognition unit 212 which performs at least one of a counting process and a recognition process with respect to the paper sheets; at least two stacking units 31-34 which stack the paper sheets after processing in the recognition unit 212; a transport unit 4 for transporting the paper sheets among the receiving unit 211, the recognition unit 212 and the stacking units 31-34; and a controller which controls each of the units, thereby having each of the paper sheets selectively stacked in the stacking units 31-34. Each of the stacking units 31-34 has at least two paper sheet removal openings 3L, 3R which are open in the first face and the second face. The paper sheets in the stacking units 31-34 are allowed to be removed through the paper sheet removal openings 3L, 3R, from the first face side and the second face side of the casing.

    摘要: An open/close mechanism of a media feed path for feeding a sheet medium from a media insertion unit allowing for a reduced parts count and minimal installation space is disclosed. In an embodiment, an open/close lever and paper pressure member of a check feeding device pivot horizontally on first and second vertical support shafts. When the pressure member pivots and presses against the delivery roller, the back end of the lever is pushed by the pressure member, pivoting the lever thereby retracting the front end of the lever from the check feed path. Because the lever is urged in a pivot direction causing the front end to enter the check feed path, when the paper pressure member returns to the position not pressed against the delivery roller, the open/close lever pivots in this urging direction returning to the position where the front end closes the check feed path.

    摘要: A sheet feeder having a sheet-stopping function includes a rotating shaft, a sheet-input roller and a sheet-stopping mechanism. The rotating shaft is rotatable in a first direction and a second direction. The sheet-input roller mounted on the rotating shaft feeds a sheet. The sheet-stopping mechanism is driven by the rotating shaft to switch between a sheet-stopping state and a non-sheet-stopping state. The rotating shaft is rotated in the first direction to enable the sheet-stopping mechanism to enter the non-sheet-stopping state and allow the sheet to come into contact with the sheet-input roller. The rotating shaft is rotated in the second direction to enable the sheet-stopping mechanism to enter the sheet-stopping state and block up a passage to the sheet-input roller. A scan apparatus using the sheet feeder is also disclosed.

    摘要: An imaging media tray includes at least one adjustable guide operatively connected to an interior surface of the imaging media tray. The guide divides the interior of the tray into a loading section and an unused section. A blocking mechanism is secured in the unused section of the media tray to prevent a user of the tray from loading imaging media into the unused section of the tray. The blocking mechanism can be provided as an adjustable blocking element with a an expandable and contractible mechanical blocker connected between the at least one adjustable guide and an interior wall of the tray. Illustrated embodiments show the blocker as a telescoping member and as a pivoting cross member arrangement.

    摘要: A solenoid stop assembly that prevents actuation of a gear and feed shaft when a tray is not substantially inserted in an apparatus. The solenoid stop assembly includes a mechanism slidably positionable between a first position and a second position to mechanically prevent a member of a solenoid from releasing a protrusion of a gear extension. A tray is adjustably positionable and functionally interacts with the mechanism in a region of the apparatus and, upon contact, causes the mechanism to move and interrupt motion of the member. A resilient member, such as a spring, biases the mechanism to a position which prevents actuation of a gear and feed shaft when the paper tray is not substantially closed.
