    摘要： A structure of a scanning window of an image scanning device has a housing, a transparent platen, a plurality of bases and a plurality of supporting blocks. The bases are formed on the inner walls of the housing. The supporting blocks are disposed on the bases and each supporting block has a supporting part. The transparent platen is disposed between the top portion of the housing and the supporting parts. Thus, the transparent platen is fixed in place by the supporting parts and the top portion of the image scanning device.

    摘要： A scanner with a controller for controlling movement of a scanning module during scanner maintenance is provided. The scanner includes a housing, a transparent platform, and a scanning module installed inside the housing for scanning a document. The scanning module can move from a home position to a position corresponding to the document. The scanner also includes a driving device for driving the scanning module and for driving the scanning module back to the home position after the scanning module has scanned the document, and a controller for controlling the driving device. When the scanning module is at the home position, the controller can cause the driving device to drive the scanning module to a maintenance position and stop the scanning module at the maintenance position.

    摘要： A paper pick-up mechanism for a feeder includes a pick-up roller, a pick-up roller shaft, a separation roller, a transmission shaft, a gear set and a transmission gear shaft. Two one-way clutches are respectively coupled to the transmission shaft and the transmission gear shaft in parallel. When the transmission shaft is rotated in a direction opposite to a sheet-feeding direction, the gear set, through the cooperation of the two one-way clutches are used as a planetary gear set to lift up the pick-up roller.

    摘要： A calibration mechanism of a scanning device including an assembly of a flexible member and a calibration strip and a limiting member is disclosed. The assembly of the flexible member and the calibration strip can travel in reciprocating motion, and the limiting member limits the distance of the vertical drift of the calibration strip. Thus, the calibration strip is confined within an anticipated position, and the accuracy and the consistency of the calibration results for an optical module of the scanner, which acquires image data of a plurality of the-scanning lines of the calibration strip, are greatly improved.

The switch element includes a movable arm, a driving gear driven by the transmission gear train, a switching gear set attached to the arm and meshing with the driving gear, and a clutch device for restricting movement of the arm to enable the switching gear set to be disengaged from the output gear. When the output gear meshes with the switching gear set, the output gear and a transmission shaft of the sheet feeding mechanism may change the direction of their rotation. When the output gear is disengaged from the switching gear set, the output gear and the transmission shaft of the sheet feeding mechanism are not driven by a power source.
