摘要: A channel selector comprising a tuning circuit including a variable reactance element as a tuning element and a non-volatile memory for permanently memorizing coded signals of channel selecting voltages to be applied to said variable reactance element, and being arranged in such a manner that the channel identification numbers and the coded signals for selecting these channels can be correspondingly memorized preliminarily in said non-volatile memory, and in channel selection the coded signal of the channel selecting voltage corresponding to a desired channel can be read out from said non-volatile memory, converted into a voltage and applied to said variable reactance element to achieve channel selection. A selected channel does not change by the cutting of the power source and the device is purely electronic. The device is especially effective for use in a television receiver.

摘要: A sweep output generator in which an a-c voltage of small amplitude is superimposed upon a sweep voltage applied to a variable reactance element of a local sweep voltage controlled oscillator for sweeping the local oscillator frequency and also for frequency modulation. The frequency modulated local sweep oscillator output and the output of a second voltage controlled oscillator are coupled to a mixer to obtain an intermediate frequency signal. The intermediate frequency signal is frequency demodulated through a frequency discriminator, whose output is in turn integrated to obtain a sweep output voltage of a characteristic similar to the normalized oscillation frequency versus impressed voltage characteristic of the local oscillator.

摘要: When starting a printing job, a host apparatus instructs a printer to change to an occupied state in order to minimize a downtime between jobs. After the printer changes to the occupied state in response to an instruction from the host apparatus, and the host apparatus finishes transmission of the printing job, the host apparatus instructs the printer to change to a vacated state without waiting for a printing completion notification from the printer. The printer changes to the vacated state in response to an instruction from the host apparatus.

摘要: A printing control method causes a printer to print data of even pages on one side of respective recording media, thereafter causes the printer to print data of odd pages, except for the last page if it is an odd page, on the other side of the recording medium, on one side of which the data of the even pages were printed and which were manually set in the sheet feeding device by an operator, and thereafter causing the printer to print data of the last page on a recording medium different from the recording media, on one side of which the data of even pages are printed and which were manually set in the sheet feeding device by the operator, if the last page is an odd page.

摘要: There is disclosed a control method for printing a plurality of pages of print data on both sides of the recording medium without using a both side printing mechanism. The method comprises the steps of outputting print data of one of even and odd pages to be printed on one side of the recording medium to printing means, prompting the operator to set the recording medium having print data of one of even and odd pages printed on one side to sheet feeding means, outputting print data of another of even and odd pages to be printed on the recording medium having print data of one of even and odd pages printed on one side to the printing means, detecting a jam on the printing means, designating the pages to be printed on both sides of recording medium which is lost due to the jam, when the jam is detected during printing of print data of another of even and odd pages by the printing means, outputting print data of one of designated pages to be printed on one side of a newly supplied recording medium to the printing means, prompting the operator to set the recording medium having print data of one of the designated pages recorded on one side thereof to the sheet feeding means, and outputting print data of another of the designated pages to be printed on another side of the recording medium having print data of one of the designated pages recorded on one side to the printing means.

摘要: A television synchronous receiver includes: a voltage controlled oscillator; a 90.degree. phase shifter for shifting the phase of the voltage controlled oscillator output by 90.degree.; first and second synchronous detectors for synchronously detecting in-phase and quadrature components of a video carrier signal using the voltage controlled oscillator output and the 90.degree. phase shifter output as synchronous carriers; first and second low-pass filters for filtering low frequency components of the first and second synchronous detector outputs within frequency ranges covering the base band of video and sound intermediate frequency signals; a phase detector for detecting the phase difference between the video carrier signal and the voltage controlled oscillator output from the first and second low-pass filter outputs; a circuit for feeding the phase detector output back to the voltage controlled oscillator; a signal amplifier for amplifying the first low-pass filter output; a signal converter for converting the signal amplifier output into a discrete-time signal; a clock generator for generating clock signals under the control of either television synchronizing signals or color burst signals separated from the signal amplifier output; a discrete-time system for processing the discrete-time signals and a signal reverse converter for reverse converting the discrete-time system output into continuous time signals. The receiver minimizes interference from an adjacent lower channel through the operation of the discrete-time system and generates video signals from the reverse converter without needing a varactor and inductor tuning circuit at the high frequency input section for removing adjacent lower channel signals.

摘要: A billet made of a polycrystalline Mn-Al-C alloy magnet which is obtained by plastically deforming a Mn-Al-C alloy for magnet such as by extrusion at a temperature of 530.degree. to 830.degree. C. is used for compressive working. When the billet is hollow, it is entirely or locally compressed along the axis of the hollow billet. On the other hand, when the billet is solid, an outer circumferential portion of the billet is compressed. By the compression, the anisotropic structure of the portion where compressed is changed into an anisotropic structure having a direction of easy magnetization in radial directions. The magnet obtained by the method is also disclosed. The magnet has a radially anisotropic structure or novel structures having two different types of anisotropies therein.

摘要: Anisotropic Mn-Al-C alloy magnets exhibiting excellent magnetic characteristics in multipolar magnetization are described. The magnets are obtained by subjecting a polycrystalline Mn-Al-C alloy magnet, which is rendered anisotropic, to compressive working or extrusion at a temperature of from 530.degree. to 830.degree. C. while keeping restrained at least part of the hollow billet along its length so that the at least part is prevented from suffering compressive deformation until fed into a compressive working region. Permanent magnets obtained by the method are also described.
