    摘要: A recorded data reader is provided with a light source for emitting a beam of light and with a photosensitive means. A polarized beam splitter incorporates an interface developed between a titanium diffused region and a proton exchanged region, formed by treating one region of a titanium diffused layer for proton exchange. Both regions are arranged on a substrate of lithium niobate material. Also, a collimator lens, a surface wave electrode, and a grating lens are embedded in the same substrate, thus forming a transmitting and separating arrangement, which transmits the light beam emitted by the light source and which separates a return beam of light originating from a recording medium.

    摘要: A thin film magnetic recording/reproducing head and a method of manufacturing same. The head is formed by sandwiching a multilayer thin film core between a pair of substrates, and removing a certain amount of the multilayer structure in the regions of the head which define the contact surface and the operational gap. The resulting structure has a thin film core which is thinner at the front core portion than is the back core portion. The method allows better alignment of two halves of the core portion in the vicinity of the operational gap.

    摘要: An organic electroluminescence display panel comprises: a plurality of organic electroluminescence devices, each of which comprises first and second display electrodes and an organic functional layer sandwiched and stacked between the first and second display electrodes, the organic functional layer including at least a light emitting layer comprising a single organic compound layer; and a substrate supporting the plurality of organic electroluminescence devices. At least one of the first and second display electrodes comprises a common layer formed in common with the plurality of organic electroluminescence devices. The common layer comprises a low resistance region corresponding to the organic electroluminescence device and a high resistance region connected to the low resistance region and having a higher resistivity than the low resistance region.

    摘要: An organic EL full color display panel includes a plurality of transparent electrode lines formed in parallel on a base plate; an insulating layer formed on the base plate, the insulating layer covering respective edges of the transparent electrode lines and having openings formed correspondingly to pixel regions on the transparent electrode lines; at least one organic EL material layer formed so as to correspond to the pixel regions and having any light-emitting function of R, G and B, and a plurality of metallic electrode lines arranged in parallel perpendicularly to the transparent electrode lines, each of the metallic electrode entirely covering the pixel regions of the three pixels of R, G and B. The insulating layer insulates the transparent electrode lines and metallic electrode lines from each other in other regions than the pixel regions. In this configuration, the organic full color display panel can emit a specified color surely at low cost.
