In a case where the portable facsimile apparatus needs additional recording paper (or an additional document) to be set by an operator during image reception or image transmission, the portable facsimile apparatus so informs the operator, while the apparatus delays shifting following image reception or image transmission. As a result, the operator can set additional recording paper (or an additional document) into the portable facsimile apparatus, during image reception, without terminating the image reception.

    摘要： A communication system is constructed by interconnecting a data terminal and a communication terminal via an interface. The communication terminal receives text data created by the data terminal, develops these data into image data and then transmits the image data. In response to a command from the data terminal, the communication terminal uses a reader to read the image of an original, thereby acquiring image data, and transmits these image data to a line. On the other hand, the order of transmission of the image data based upon the text data and the image data based upon the reading of the image of the original is set at the data terminal. On the basis of the order of transmission set, the data terminal controls the execution of transmission of the two types of data in the communication terminal.

    摘要： In a communicating apparatus which accommodates a plurality of channels, a message from a sender can be recorded even if a transfer station is busy (a telephone is being employed) or is located at a place where a radio wave does not reach. The communicating apparatus is able to detect a specified signal, such as a tone signal like DTMF or the like, which is transmitted from the sender upon a call transfer. When the specified signal is received, the communication apparatus suspends the transfer of the call and stores a message from the sender using a message recording function of the communicating apparatus.

    摘要： A communication apparatus is provided which is capable of facsimile communication, voice communication and concurrent voice/facsimile communication. In one version, the apparatus has first and second connecting units for connection to a voice communication terminal (such as a conventional telephone) and a data communication terminal (a facsimile apparatus or the like), respectively. A selector selects between those two connecting units. An analog signal from either the voice communication terminal or the data communication terminal is binarized, the two streams of data (if the apparatus is in concurrent transmission mode) are mixed, and the resulting data stream is converted to an analog signal for transmission. Similarly, an incoming analog signal, if received in the concurrent communication mode, is separated into binary voice and binary non-voice data, which are then separately processed and output as appropriate. Also, it is possible to switch among voice, data, and concurrent voice/data modes.

    摘要： There is disclosed a system of a facsimile apparatus and a card-shaped calculator as a portable device to be helped by each user. The telephone number information and other information, which have conventionally registered in the facsimile unit, are stored in the card, which transmits such information to the facsimile unit when the card is set on the facsimile. The transfer of the information between the card and the facsimile unit is conveniently done by photocouplers. The system disperses the information required in the facsimile unit to the individual cards, thereby simplifying the structure and the operation of the facsimile unit. Also the card may be coupled with another facsimile unit so that the card owner can immediately use the registered telephone number information on any facsimile unit.
