摘要: Audio data recorded on a hard disk is stored in a memory by a CPU. The audio data stored in the memory is stored in units of channels to be output, in corresponding storage areas within an audio data storage portion by the CPU. As such, in the audio data storage portion, the audio data is stored in different storage areas for respective channels to be output. The audio data stored in the audio data storage portion is converted to analog data by a D/A converter, and output to a prescribed device.

摘要: An HDD is divided into a segment area storing multimedia data, an information file area storing an information file of a file, and a system information area storing a system information file. Storage of the system information file in the system information area and storage of the information file in the information file area are performed every prescribed time (X seconds), instead of a time point when recording and/or reproduction is stopped. If an apparatus suddenly stops, a location where damage is likely in the HDD can be detected by referring to the information file area and the system information area.

摘要: Scene change information is included in the header of an I picture, while the data is stored on a hard disk. For a skip search performed during the reproduction of moving picture data, a microcomputer reads the positioning information or the differential information for a scene change, which is correlated with moving picture data at a destination determined by skipping, from a current reproduction location, for a predetermined time. Then, the microcomputer performs the skip search up to the address of reference moving picture data that is obtained based on the positioning information or the differential information. When a user desires to skip a commercial broadcast in a drama, a scene change can is detected between the end of the commercial and the beginning of the continuation of the drama, so that reproduction of the drama is begun at the location of the scene change.

摘要: A road antenna apparatus includes a road antenna 104 which is mounted on a post 103 and at an elevated position on a road R and establishes radio communication with an on-vehicle radio device 102 mounted in a vehicle 101 which is traveling over the road; a controller controls a level of a transmission output signal of the antenna based on a receiving rate of the transmission output signal. A laser-beam emitting device 111 is mounted on the road antenna and radiates a laser beam onto the surface of the road. A laser-beam receiving device mounted on the road receives the laser beam emitted from the laser-beam emitting device. The controller stops the operation of the antenna when the laser-beam receiver device cannot receive the laser beam.

摘要: A terminal apparatus for enabling the use of the Internet connection line. The terminal apparatus reads out the phone number of a first server and data for starting communication with the first server from an IC card mounted in the IC card socket, calls the phone number, and transmits the data in response to the demand from the first server. Moreover, the terminal apparatus receives the setting input by the setting acceptance screen for accepting the application for using the Internet connection line received from the first server, transmits the content to the first server, thereafter, demands the confirmation operation in response to the demand from the first server, and when it receives the confirmation input, advises the same. Furthermore, the terminal apparatus receives advice of the phone number of a second server, and the user ID and the password for starting communication with the second server from the first server, and stores the same in the IC card.

摘要: A receiving apparatus is disclosed which comprises: a receiving circuit for receiving time-division-duplexed first and second radio wave paging signals, having the same carrier frequency, including first and second data having different first and second data rates respectively, a frequency converting circuit for frequency-converting an output of the receiving circuit with a local oscillation signal from a local oscillator; a demodulator for demodulating an output of the frequency converting circuit and outputting a demodulated signal; a detection circuit for detecting the synchronizing word from the demodulated signal, detecting whether a frame synchronizing condition is established, and detecting whether the first radio wave signal is being received; a frequency error detection circuit for detecting a frequency error in the output of the demodulation means; and a frequency control circuit responsive to the detection circuit for controlling a local oscillation frequency of the local oscillator according to the detected frequency error only while the first radio wave signal is being received. Automatic frequency controlling is effected only during the interval of receiving the desired radio wave paging signal.

摘要: When a user requests a reproduction operation via a remote control, a microprocessor determines whether or not data on a medium of the type selected in advance by a user using the remote control can be reproduced. When the microprocessor determines that data on a medium of the selected type can be reproduced, it selectively reproduces data on the medium of the selected type. When the microprocessor determines that data on a medium of the selected type cannot be reproduced, it sequentially determines whether data on media other than media of the selected type among multiple types of media can be reproduced or not, sets the type of a medium on which data can be reproduced, which is found as a result of the determination, as the type of media to be played, and reproduces data on the medium on which data can be reproduced.
