摘要: A fuel supplying apparatus comprising a fuel tank, a fuel pump, a pressure regulator and a fuel filter disposed in a fuel line connected between the fuel pump and the pressure regulator for filtering the fuel supplied from the fuel pump. The pressure regulator has an inlet port through which the pressure within the fuel tank is introduced into the diaphragm chamber of the pressure regulator is disposed between a fuel surface level and the ceiling of the fuel tank. The excess fuel discharge port is disposed in the vicinity of and in a facing relationship to a wall surface, which may be provided with a shock absorbing member, of a fuel pump mounting bracket, a sub-tank, pressure regulator holder or a barrier. The fuel filter has a hollow cylindrical configuration and the fuel pump together with a mounting bracket for supporting the fuel pump is housed within the hollow cylindrical fuel filter.

摘要: A discharge path for discharging static electricity generated in a fuel filter built in a fuel supply apparatus mounted in a tank is formed with accuracy. A housing container of a fuel filter 5 is formed by heat welding a main housing 6 and a lid housing 3 at a welding face 5a, a support frame 18 of a filter is formed of a conductive thermoplastic resin, a part of the support frame 18 accommodated in the main housing 6 is at the same height as a welding face 5a, and an end of a peripheral wall for a communicating hole 3a formed on the lid housing 3 is formed at the same height as a heat welding face of the lid housing 3, wherein an earth conductor is connected to an exposed pedestal 18c of the support frame 18 exposed by heat welding the part of the support frame 18 and the end of the communicating hole 3a fluid-tight simultaneously with formation of the housing container.

摘要: In a system in which a housing including a fuel passage is formed by heat welding joining end faces of an upper housing and a lower housing made of a synthetic resin, the melted end portion in the welded portion is pushed out and comes to form a flash. The flash varies in size and shape depending upon the state of melting of the joining end faces and the amount of the portion moved due to the pressing, and the finished housing varies in length. The flash protruding at a portion serving as a fuel passage makes the passage area narrow and increases resistance of the passage, and a weak portion in the flash sometimes drops due to fatigue fracture caused by pulsation of fuel flow. Contact ribs 3b, 13b facing each other at a portion lower than the joining end faces 3a, 13a are provided with space grooves 3c, 13c interposed along the joining end faces 3a, 13a of the upper housing 3 and the lower housing 13, and the joining end faces are melted and pressed so that the contact ribs 3b, 13b of the upper housing 3 and the lower housing 13 may come in contact with each other, thus length of the housing 11 being determined by the contact ribs 3b, 13b. The flash 21 is caused to stay in a staying space 22 closed by the contact ribs 3b, 13b at the time of completing the heat welding.

摘要: A fuel supply apparatus mounting structure in which a set plate for holding a fuel supply apparatus is not corroded or deteriorated by the exposure to salt for thawing snow sprayed in winter in cold districts or to salt particles contained in sea wind in coastal areas is provided. The fuel supply apparatus mounting structure comprises a fuel pump 2 disposed within a fuel tank for pumping fuel to an internal combustion engine, a set plate 3 made of a synthetic resin and holding the fuel pump 2 and closing an opening hole 1a in the fuel tank 1, a gasket for maintaining airtight between the set plate 3 and the fuel tank 1, and a plate 4 for fastening the set plate 3 to the fuel tank 1, and a protective member 6, 8 made of a material which is not reacted, dissolved or deteriorated by a reaction product generated by a chemical reaction occurring between the plate 4 and the set plate 3 is inserted.
