    摘要: A lever-fitting type connector includes the connector (11) which is adapted to be fitted in the mating connector, and has bosses (15) formed thereon, and the lever (12) having rotation holes (25) in which the bosses (15) are inserted, respectively. The lever is pivotally moved about the bosses (15) so as to fit the connector (11) into the mating connector. Slots (18) are formed in the connector (11), and extend in a direction of fitting of the connector (11) into the mating connector. The lever (12) has projected portions (21) which are engaged respectively in the slots (18), and serve as pivot fulcrums when inserting the bosses respectively into the rotation holes (25). The lever has slanting guide surfaces (26) for guiding the bosses (15) respectively to the rotation holes (25). The bosses (15), the rotation holes (25) and the slanting guide surfaces (26) are disposed in a path of pivotal movement of the lever about the pivot fulcrums defined respectively by the projected portions (21).

    摘要: The present connector is a lever fitting type connector 20 that, by rotating a lever (2), a male connector (1) can be inserted and fitted into a fitting hood portion (4) of a female connector portion (3), while a lock arm 11 disposed in the lever (2) can be engaged with a lock portion (21) formed in the fitting hood portion (4). The lock arm (11) is composed of a flexible arm portion (12) and a lock-arm-(11)-side securing projection (13) formed in the flexible arm portion (12), whereas the lock portion (21) is composed of a reduced thickness plate portion (22) formed in the inner wall (4a) of the fitting hood portion (4) and a fitting-hood-portion-(4)-side securing projection (23) at least part of which is projected from the reduced thickness portion (22) and also which can be engaged with the lock-arm-11-side securing projection (13). Thanks to this structure, when the lock-arm-(11)-side securing projection (13) goes beyond the lock-portion-(21)-side securing projection (23), the reduced thickness plate portion (22) once flexes greatly and thereafter returns back to its original shape, with the result that an operation sound generated when the male connector (1) is locked into the fitting hood portion (4) of the female connector portion (3) can be made louder, thereby being able to enhance the sense of moderation of the connector.

One of the connector housings is slidably received within the slide member. When moving the slide member in one direction, the tip end portion of the lever engages with one engaging portion of the other connector housing to draw the one of the connector housings within the other connector housing, thereby attaching the male type and female type connector housings to each other. When moving the slide member in a direction opposite to the one direction, another tip portion of the lever engages with the other engaging portion of the other connector housing to detach one of the connector housings from the other connector housing.

    摘要: A terminal retaining structure for a connector in which a terminal retaining member (2) is allowed to enter into a connector housing (3) from an opening (6) facing a terminal accommodating chamber of the connector housing. In such terminal retaining structure, a primary temporary retaining projection (15) and a secondary temporary retaining projection (16) are arranged on an overhang wall portion (12) so as to be staggered in a terminal retaining member insertion direction. The overhang wall portion has the terminal retaining projection (13) of the terminal retaining member (2) projected therefrom. The primary temporary retaining projection (15) and the secondary temporary retaining projection (16) are engageable with the side end edges of the opening sequentially. The notched stepped portion (14) is brought into contact with and supported on an outer housing wall (9) after the secondary temporary retaining projection (16) has passed by the corresponding side end edge of the opening (6). As a result, the terminal retaining projection (13) is allowed to enter obliquely into the opening to come in contact with the inner housing wall.

    摘要: The present connector has a structure which makes it possible to execute a step of mounting a wire holder serving also as a cover member to a housing main body and a step of connecting electrical wires to their respective pressure contact terminals in one operation to simplify the assembly thereof and is thus suitable for mass production. A housing main body supports the pressure contact edges of the pressure contact terminals in an upwardly bent position with respect to the male tabs of the pressure contact terminals. A wire holder holds a plurality of electric wires provisionally in such a manner that the wires can be pressure contacted with their respective pressure contact edges, and serves also as a cover member to close the upper opening of the housing main body, through which opening the pressure contact edges are exposed. By mounting the wire holder to the housing main body, the wires can be connected to the pressure contact terminals. Also, the wires are previously bent and provisionally held by the wire holder and a spacer cooperable with the wire holder to thereby prevent the wires from being removed backwardly.
