摘要： The present connector is a lever fitting type connector 20 that, by rotating a lever (2), a male connector (1) can be inserted and fitted into a fitting hood portion (4) of a female connector portion (3), while a lock arm 11 disposed in the lever (2) can be engaged with a lock portion (21) formed in the fitting hood portion (4). The lock arm (11) is composed of a flexible arm portion (12) and a lock-arm-(11)-side securing projection (13) formed in the flexible arm portion (12), whereas the lock portion (21) is composed of a reduced thickness plate portion (22) formed in the inner wall (4a) of the fitting hood portion (4) and a fitting-hood-portion-(4)-side securing projection (23) at least part of which is projected from the reduced thickness portion (22) and also which can be engaged with the lock-arm-11-side securing projection (13). Thanks to this structure, when the lock-arm-(11)-side securing projection (13) goes beyond the lock-portion-(21)-side securing projection (23), the reduced thickness plate portion (22) once flexes greatly and thereafter returns back to its original shape, with the result that an operation sound generated when the male connector (1) is locked into the fitting hood portion (4) of the female connector portion (3) can be made louder, thereby being able to enhance the sense of moderation of the connector.

An optical fiber ribbon includes a plurality of optical fibers 12 tied in a bundle and a ribbon coating layer 13 formed around the plurality of optical fibers to integrate the plurality of optical fibers, wherein the glass-transition temperature of the coating ranges from 80° C. to 130° C. and “a” is 0.01 mm2 or less, where “a” is a sectional area of the ribbon coating layer 13 in a cross section in which outer half of the optical fiber at an edge of the ribbon and the coating of the optical fiber ribbon are taken along a line passing the center of the glass optical fiber positioned at one of edges of the ribbon out of the plurality of the optical fibers and being perpendicular to the horizontal plane of the optical fiber ribbon.

Additionally, the amount of advance of an ink ribbon for imprinting a type element on a type unit is determined in accordance with the particular type unit mounted in the apparatus, again as indicated by the detection signal.

摘要： An improvement in movement of the recording section in a recording apparatus such as a typewriter, a printer or the like is provided. This recording apparatus comprises: a print ribbon cassette having a recording material; a carriage having a solenoid or a cam for moving the cassette; a detector for detecting the vertical or horizontal moving amount of the cassette; and a controller for controlling the moving condition of the cassette moved by the carriage on the basis of an output from the detector. The moving time of the ribbon cassette is changed in accordance with the typing speed of the operator or the size of character to be recorded. Thus, the whole printing time can be shortened and the noise generated in association with the typing operation can be reduced.

摘要： A printing apparatus includes a power supply for supplying power thereto and a battery supply for supplying back-up battery power. A printing mechanism effects printing on a printing paper in accordance with one of a plurality of printing pitches, and a processor controls the printer and produces data signals. A selector selects one of a plurality of printing pitches and applies a signal indicating the selected printing pitch to the processor. A plurality of indicators each indicates a respective one of the plurality of printing pitches and one of the indicators is energized by a data signal produced by the processor. A memory is supplied with back-up battery power by the battery power supply and stores a selected one of the plurality of printing pitches. The memory is accessed by the processor. Further, the processor is responsive to the signal applied by the selecting means and indicative of the printing pitch to provide an energization data signal to the one of the indicators corresponding to the selected printing pitch. The processor is also responsive to initiation of supply of power from the power supply means to read out the selected printing pitch from the memory to provide the energization data signal to the one of the indicators corresponding to that printing pitch read from the memory.

Also there is provided a stain preventing mechanism for multi-color printing, and the above-mentioned stain preventing member is provided with a means for preventing ink diffusion.
