    摘要: A waterproof connector is provided with a connector housing having a mating hollow to which an opposing connector is fitted, a seal fitted to an opposite side to the mating hollow of the connector housing, and a rear holder inserted and fitted to the connector housing. The seal is further provided with a plurality of through holes to which cables provided with terminals at front ends are respectively inserted, and the rear holder is provided with insertion holes communicating with the through holes respectively. The rear holder allows the cable to pass through at a time of being inserted to a temporary engaging position, and presses the seal so as to fix at a time of being inserted to a regular engaging position. The insertion holes are extended so as to have a length at a degree at which a front end thereof is not brought into contact with lips of the through holes even when the inserted terminals are inclined. Any one or both of the connector housing and the rear holder is provided with one or more ribs sliding pressure contact with an opposing member, and the rib extends in a fitting and inserting direction of the rear holder.

    摘要: A waterproof connector is constituted by a connector housing provided with a mating hollow to which an opposing connector is fitted and a terminal housing protruded within the mating hollow, a first packing pressure contacted with the opposing connector within the mating hollow so as to be closely attached to a periphery of the terminal housing, and a slide arranged between the terminal housing and the first packing. The connector housing receives a plurality of cables provided with terminals at front ends so as to hold a second packing therebetween. The slide is provided with a plurality of slits being parallel to a sliding direction and respectively inserting the terminals, and a retaining portion extending toward the first packing in one end portion. The slits prevent the terminals from falling off in a side of the retaining portion, and allow the terminals to pass through in an opposite side.

    摘要: In the field of commercial nuclear reactors, there is an increasing demand for long-life control blades in order to meet the requirements of higher economy and reduction in the disposal of radioactive wastes. A control blade proposed by the invention stands a long use by virtue of the use of a long-life neutron absorber which is typically made of hafnium. Despite the use of hafnium which has a large specific weight (13.3 g/cm.sup.3), the size, shape and weight of the control blade are substantially the same as those of conventional control blades which employ boron carbides B.sub.4 C as the neutron absorber, so that the control blade can be back-fitted in existing boiling water reactors without difficulty. The control blade of this invention is a flux-trap-type control blade in which long-life neutron absorber plates or sheets are arranged to oppose each other in the thicknesswise direction of the wing within the sheath plate such that a water gap is preserved between the opposing neutron absorber plates, so that the weight of the hafnium, which occupies most part of the total weight of the control blade, is reduced by an amount corresponding to the volume of the water gap. The thickness of the neutron absorber plates or sheets is increased at the upper portion of the control blade where the neutron exposure is specifically high and where a large neutron absorption power or capacity is required for ensuring a sufficient reactor shut-down margin, while the thickness is reduced in other portions so as to increase the size of the water gap. In consequence, the weight of the control blade incorporating heavy hafnium as the neutron absorber is reduced almost to the same level as that of ordinary control blades, without being accompanied by any reduction in the reactivity worth.

    摘要: A control rod for nuclear reactors includes four wings including neutron absorbers containing hafnium, a front end structural member which has a cross shape in cross section and includes brackets bonded to the leading ends of the wings, and a terminal end structural member which has a cross shape in cross section and includes brackets bonded to the tailing ends of the wings. The four wings are bonded to a wing-bonding member including a cross-shaped center shaft so as to form a cross shape. The front end structural member and the wing-bonding member are made of a zirconium alloy. The wings include neutron-absorbing plates having neutron-absorbing portions and each have an outer surface which is opposed to a fuel assembly and at which a hafnium-zircaloy composite member covered with zircaloy is disposed. The neutron-absorbing plates are opposed to each other with trap spaces disposed therebetween.
