    摘要: An image capturing apparatus includes an optical system which forms an image of a subject. An image sensor converts the image formed by the optical system into a video signal. A focus operating unit changes the focusing status produced by the optical system according to a manual operation. An autofocus unit adjusts the focus of the optical system so as to be able to obtain the best in-focus condition according to the video signal from the image sensor. The autofocus unit is adapted to adjust the focus of the optical system within the focusing range determined according to a characteristic of the optical system after a change of the focusing status by the focus operating unit.

    摘要: A liquid crystal device includes: a liquid crystal layer which is sandwiched between a pair of substrates; a color filter layer has a first coloration layer for transmitting a first light and a second coloration layer for transmitting a second light; first electrodes has a first pixel electrode disposed on a first sub-pixel region corresponding to a planar region of the first coloration layer and a second pixel electrode disposed on a second sub-pixel region corresponding to a planar region of the second coloration layer; and second electrodes each of which faces each first electrode. Any one electrode of each first electrode and each second electrode has a plurality of band-like portions which are arranged at predetermined intervals. A layer thickness of the liquid crystal layer, a width of each band-like portion, and the predetermined intervals within the first sub-pixel region are smaller than they within the second sub-pixel region.

    摘要: A liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal layer interposed between first and second substrates, a first electrode, and a second electrode having a plurality of linear portions. A reflective display portion and a transmissive display portion are included in one pixel. The thickness of the liquid crystal layer in the reflective display portion is smaller than that of the liquid crystal layer in the transmissive display portion. First and second polarizers having transmission axes approximately perpendicular to each other are provided on outer sides of the first and second substrates. The transmission axis of one of the first and second polarizers is set approximately in parallel to a liquid crystal orientation direction. The plurality of linear portions of the second electrode have predetermined electrode widths and a predetermined electrode distance therebetween.

    摘要: A liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate and a second substrate opposed to each other with a liquid crystal layer therebetween, in which a first electrode and a second electrode are provided on a side of the first substrate opposed to the liquid crystal layer and the liquid crystal layer is driven by means of an electric field generated between the first electrode and the second electrode. A reflective display area for reflective display and a transmissive display area for transmissive display are formed in a sub pixel area. The thickness of the liquid crystal layer in the reflective display area is greater than the thickness of the liquid crystal layer in the transmissive display area. A retardation layer is selectively formed in an area corresponding to at least the reflective display area on a side of the second substrate opposed to the liquid crystal layer.

    摘要: A liquid crystal device is provided in which a liquid crystal layer formed of a liquid crystal having a negative dielectric anisotropy is interposed between a first substrate and a second substrate disposed opposite to each other, the liquid crystal device including: an alignment film controlling the liquid crystal, the alignment film being disposed between the liquid crystal layer and the first substrate and between the liquid crystal layer and the second substrate in a vertical direction; a first wave plate and a first polarizing plate provided on a surface of the first substrate opposite to the liquid crystal layer; and a second wave plate and a second polarizing plate provided on a surface of the second substrate opposite to the liquid crystal layer. Here, an alignment control portion controlling alignment of the liquid crystal of the liquid crystal layer is provided on at least one of the first substrate and the second substrate. In addition, retardation axes of the first wave plate and the second wave plate are approximately perpendicular to each other, and at least one of the retardation axis of the first wave plate and the retardation axis of the second wave plate is arranged approximately parallel to a main alignment direction of the liquid crystal aligned by the alignment control portion.

    摘要: A liquid crystal display device includes an element substrate; a counter substrate opposite to the element substrate; a liquid crystal layer that is formed between the element substrate and the counter substrate; and dot sections each having a transmissive display section for performing transmissive display and a reflective display section for performing reflective display. The element substrate includes switching elements, an insulating film formed on the switching elements, and pixel electrodes formed on the insulating film. The switching elements are electrically connected to the pixel electrodes through contact holes that are formed in the insulating film. Each of the pixel electrodes has a transparent electrode portion for the transmissive display and a reflective electrode portion for the reflective display. The switching element is arranged below the reflective electrode portion of a second dot section adjacent to a first dot section that is driven by the switching element.
