    摘要: An image forming method includes the steps of:(1) forming a first unfixed image of color toner on one side of a transfer material, wherein the color toner has a weight average particle size of 3 to 7 .mu.m and includes color toner particles having a particle size of 4 .mu.m or less in a range of 10 to 70 by number, color toner particles having a particle size of 5.04 .mu.m or less in a range of 40% by number or more, color toner particles having a particle size of 8 .mu.m or more in a range of 2 to 20% by volume, and color toner particles having a particle size of 10.08 .mu.m or more in a range of 6% by volume or less; (2) heating and melting the color toner of the first unfixed image by heating, pressing and fixing means which includes a rotation body for fixing having an elastic layer to fix the first unfixed image to the one side of the transfer material; (3) forming a second unfixed image of color toner on the other side of the transfer material, wherein the color toner has a weight average particle size of 3 to 7 .mu.m and includes color toner particles having a particle size of 4 .mu.m or less in a range of 10 to 70% by number, color toner particles having a particle size of 5.04 .mu.m or less in a range of 40% by number or more, color toner particles having a particle size of 8 .mu.m or more in a range of 2 to 20% by volume, and color toner particles having a particle size of 10.08 .mu.m or more in a range of 6% by volume or less; and (4) heating and melting a color toner of the second fixed image by the heating, pressing and fixing means to fix the second unfixed image to the other side of the transfer material, whereby color images are formed on both sides of the transfer material.

    摘要: A toner is disclosed which has toner particles and an external additive. The toner has (a) in circularity distribution of particles measured with a flow type particle image analyzer, an average circularity of from 0.920 to 0.995, containing particles with a circularity of less than 0.950 in an amount of from 2% by number to 40% by number; and (b) a weight-average particle diameter of from 2.0 .mu.m to 9.0 .mu.m as measured by Coulter method. The external additive has, on the toner particles, at least (i) an inorganic fine powder (A) present in the state of primary particles or secondary particles and having an average particle length of from 10 m.mu.m to 400 m.mu.m and a shape factor SF-1 of from 100 to 130 and (ii) a non-spherical inorganic fine powder (B) formed by coalescence of a plurality of particles and having a shape factor SF-1 of greater than 150. Also, a two-component developer and an image forming method, using the toner, are disclosed.

    摘要: A toner for developing electrostatic images includes: toner particles and organically treated alumina powder. The organically treated alumina powder has an X-ray diffraction characteristic showing a maximum X-ray intensity level I.sub.a-max and a minimum X-ray intensity level I.sub.a-min in a 2.theta. range of 20 to 70 degrees providing a ratio I.sub.a-max /I.sub.a-min of below 6. The alumina powder is amorphous or has a low-crystallinity of .gamma.-form, thereby showing a low agglomeratability to function as an effective flowability-improving agent for a toner. The structural water contained in the alumina powder contained favors hydrophobization treatment thereof and functions to suppress a charge-up phenomenon in a low humidity environment after the hydrophobization.

    摘要: In a two-component development system containing a toner and a carrier, an a-Si photosensitive member having a diameter of from 20 mm to 80 mm is used, the photosensitive member is electrostatically charged to have a surface potential of from 300 to 450 V (absolute value), and yellow, magenta, cyan and black toners are used each of which have a weight-average particle diameter of from 4.0 &mgr;m to 10.0 &mgr;m, and, under a condition that the carrier of the two-component developer has a 50% average particle diameter of from 10 &mgr;m to 80 &mgr;m and as image density (D0.5) measured usually after the toner is fixed once when the quantity of unfixed toner on a transfer medium, M/S, is 0.5 mg/cm2, have a coloring power of from 1.0 to 1.9, and in which the difference between a maximum value and a minimum value of D0.5 of yellow, magenta, cyan and black colors is form 0 to 0.5. This makes it possible to obtain high-quality images in a high image density and a superior color reproduction.
