    Abstract: A collapsible electronic equipment includes a pivot structure, a base and a cover. The pivot structure includes a first pivot assembly, a second pivot assembly, and a gear mechanism. The first pivot assembly is disposed on a side of the base. The second pivot assembly is disposed on a side of the cover. The gear mechanism is connected to the first pivot assembly and the second pivot assembly. The cover may be opened or closed relative to the base by the gear mechanism. When the cover is opened at 180 degrees relative to the base, the gap between the cover and the base is narrow, and the surfaces of the cover and the base are located on the same plane.

    Abstract: A hinge with an overridable limiting function is mounted in an electronic device with a cover and a base and has a pintle, a stationary leaf and a rotating assembly. The pintle has a limit. The stationary leaf is mounted securely on the pintle and is mounted securely in the base.     Abstract: A method for determining stress effects, or stress endurance of a film layer coated on a wafer during a scrubber clean process is disclosed. In the method, a wafer having a film layer coated on top is held in a stationary position while a high pressure water jet having a pressure larger than 60 kg/cm2 is scanned across a top surface of the film layer and through a center of the wafer. The total number of stress defects is then counted in the scanning path on top of the film layer as an indication of the stress endurance of the specific coating layer. The invention also discloses a method for scrubber cleaning a wafer surface which is coated with a film layer without causing stress defects in the film by rotating a silicon wafer, which has a film layer coated on top at a suitable rotational speed, and then scanning a water jet across a top surface of the film layer without passing through a center of the wafer. The water pressure utilized for the water jet may be suitably between 50 kg/cm2 and 75 kg/cm2. It is preferred that the water jet does not pass any regions on the top surface of the film layer that is less than 2 mm from the center of the wafer.

    Abstract: A two-stage torsion pivot hinge including an axle connected with a base and having a shaft mounted thereon with a bush for a spring tube. The bush forms a first and a second protrusion element respectively extending out of its two ends. The spring tube is fixedly connected with a supporting member and is provided with two torsion sleeves respectively on the two ends of the bush. Each torsion sleeve has an axial cut and has two contact elements extending respectively toward the two ends of the bush. The contact elements respectively interfere with the first and the second protrusion elements. By the function between the torsion sleeve and the bush, the pivot hinge can provide different torsion forces for the stroke of rotating the screen from its closed position to a vertical angular position and for the stroke from the vertical position to its maximum opening angular position.

    Abstract: A hinge assembly is mounted in an electronic appliance such as a notebook and has a stationary leaf, a pintle and a pivoting leaf. The notebook has a base and a cover. The stationary leaf is mounted securely on the base and has a pivoting sleeve having an outer edge, a limiting tab and at least one braking detent. The limiting tab and braking detent adjacently protrude longitudinally from the outer edge of the pivoting sleeve.
