Abstract: This invention relates to a curing agent comprising a trifunctional hardener containing essentially three aromatic bonded hydroxyl groups and is the reaction product of 2,2''-bis(4hydroxylphenyl)propane (hereinafter called ''''Bisphenol A''''), phenol and formaldehyde and an imidazole in an amount of about 0.1 percent by weight to about 15 percent by weight based on the weight of the trifunctional hardener and to polyepoxide compositions containing this curing agent, which are characterized by excellent storage life, by excellent curing speed, good color, good solvent resistance, enhanced copper adhesion and good humidity resistance.
