摘要: A communication quality estimation system has: a plurality of equipments performing packet transmission on a network; and a communication quality estimation equipment. The plurality of equipments includes: a first equipment; a second equipment; and a third equipment placed downstream of the first equipment and upstream of the second equipment. The communication quality estimation equipment estimates communication quality in the third equipment by comparing a number of first packets satisfying a first sampling rule out of packets transmitted by the first equipment and a number of second packets satisfying the first sampling rule out of packets transmitted by the second equipment.

摘要: A packet loss frequency measuring system for measuring the packet loss frequency at low processing costs is provided. Packet information storage means 112 has plural packet information storage areas 113 for storing information corresponding to field values including at least an acknowledgment number in a packet. Packet information registration means 111 selects one of the plural packet information storage areas 113 upon receiving a packet and storing, in the selected packet information storing area 113, information corresponding to the field values including at least the acknowledgment number in the received packet. Counting means 114 counts the number of pieces of information commonly stored in packet information storage areas equal in number to or more than a predetermined number.

摘要: A communication quality measuring device includes: a quality measuring unit that measures the communication quality of a transmission path, based on data being transmitted through the transmission path; an observation time calculating unit that calculates a time interval for securing an observation time for the quality measuring unit; and a measurement triggering unit that causes the quality measuring unit to start measurement at the time interval calculated by the observation time calculating unit. The observation time is the time required for maintaining predetermined measurement accuracy in the communication quality measured by the quality measuring unit.

摘要: An inversion of a packet transmission sequence number is observed in a predetermined sampling measurement. The number of sampled sequence numbers greater than the sequence number upon the inversion is measured as an inversion degree. A number of packet losses or a loss ratio is estimated according to the inversion degree under the estimated full sampling measurement and the inversion degree observed under a predetermined sampling measurement.
