摘要： In a video data reproducing apparatus adapted for reading out data including video data stored on plural non-linear accessible recording media by time slots allocated thereto to output those data, when the video data which has been read out from the recording medium is outputted to the external as n (n>1) times speed video data, a processing is carried out by a reproduction picture dividing section 11 such that when n is integer, output image 1 frame is divided by n, while when n is not integer, output image 1 frame is divided by m (m is integral part of n: n=m. . . . ), and such a processing is carried out by a reproduction image generating section 13 to allocate n frames or m frames of the video data which has been read out from the recording medium to the output image 1 frame divided by n or divided by m to generate reproduction image.

An output buffer unit temporarily stores the compressed data reproduced by the recording/reproducing unit. A data expanding unit expands the compressed data read out from the output buffer unit. An output unit outputs data expanded by the expanding unit. For this reason, when one set or cluster of information data is assumed to be information data file, it is possible to reproduce, without necessity of interruption of recording of the entirety of the information data file, the portion recorded earlier, e.g., by several minutes to several tens minutes within the same information data file.

A readout order of data of a prescribed size composing data specified by a reproduction command from outside is determined so that all the data of the prescribed size can be continuously reproduced while a head goes and returns once in the radiation direction of a disk. The position of the head in the radial direction of the disk is controlled to continuously reproduce the data of the prescribed size in the readout order. The data of the prescribed size reproduced from the disk via the head is rearranged in a correct reproduction order based on the reproduction command and output.

摘要： Upon recording, movable terminals b of switches 112 and 119 are switched to the terminals a1 sides, whereas upon reproduction, they are switched to the terminals a2 sides. A controller 131 controls switches 114 and 118 so that memories 116-1 through- 3 respectively store the data from a decoder 111, e.g., the data in every predetermined units corresponding to individual one cycles of assigned time slots, for example. The respective data stored in the memories 116-1 through- 3 are successively read in predetermined time slots and recorded on recording unit through a time-sharing type bus 15. Upon reproduction, the respective data given in the predetermined units are successively written into the memories 116-1 through -3 in predetermined time slots through the bus 15 and output via an encoder 121 in one cycle of the time slots. Writing and reading processes are not executed simultaneously within the same memory and the recording and reproduction of data can be properly performed with ease. Data antecedent to and prior to the present time are stored in the memories, so that the response to a special reproducing operation can be made excellent.
