Abstract: A electronic device is mounted on a circumferential surface of an inner liner by tucking first, second and third edges of a device plate between a first holding plane of a first guide tab and a surface of a holder plate, between a second holding plane of a second guide tab and the surface of the holder plate, and between a third holding plane of a third guide tab and the surface of the holder plate. The electronic device can be stably-mounted over the long term without difficulty and can be removed from the circumferential surface of the inner liner without difficulty.

Abstract: A disc player reproduces information in a plurality of blocks sequentially provided on a disc. The disc player includes an optical pickup reading the information recorded on the disc; an optical-pickup moving unit moving the optical pickup; and a controller controlling the optical pickup moving unit. When the optical pickup is not able to read the information recorded on the disc, the controller controls the moving unit to move the optical pickup to the head of a block subsequent to the block where the optical pickup cannot read the information if the block to which the optical pickup reaches in a predetermined time is different from the block where the optical pickup cannot read the information recorded on the disc.

Abstract: An actuator has a first yoke plate, a second yoke plate, magnets, coils, a haptic feel providing member, and a coil fixing member. The first yoke plate and the second yoke plate each assume a plate-like shape having a generally square outline, and are provided approximately parallel with each other. The magnets are fixed to that surface of the first yoke plate which is opposed to the second yoke plate. The coils are provided movably between the magnets and the second yoke and are fixed to the coil fixing member so as to form a unitary body together. Electromagnetic forces that are generated in magnetic fields of the magnets act on the coils, whereby the haptic feel providing member that is supported by the coil fixing member is moved.

Abstract: A cassette tape player has two reel bases which couple with the reels of a cassette tape located in the hold position of the tape player, a drive motor which drives the reel bases to rotate, a tape slack eliminating mechanism which rotates each reel base in its own tape winding direction, two pulse generators, each of which outputs pulse signals that depend on the rotational states of one of the reel bases, and a pulse width comparator which detects whether the pulse widths of the pulse signals from the pulse generators have exceeded a prescribed value. During the tape slack eliminating operation, if a width of the pulse signal from at least one of the pulse generators exceeds the prescribed value, the player terminates the tape slack eliminating operation and proceeds to another operational mode. The player thereby eliminates tape slack in the cassette irrespective of the tape position.

Abstract: A vehicle passenger restraint system comprises a shoulder belt for restraining a passenger to a vehicle seat. The shoulder belt extends diagonally from a shoulder area on one side of the passenger to a waist area on the opposite side of the passenger and has a belt inflatable part configured to be inflated with a fluid upon a collision of the vehicle is detected. The belt inflatable part is provided with a head restraining part configured to deploy in the forward direction of the vehicle as the belt inflatable part inflates to receive the passenger's head. When the belt inflatable part inflates, tension is generated in the shoulder belt and the tension increases the force with which the passenger is restrained. Simultaneously, the head restraining part is inflated to receive the passenger's head and to prevent the passenger's head from contacting a frontward vehicle part.
