    摘要: This invention provides a process for preparing cyclic phosphonitrilic chloride oligomers characterized by the combination of:(I) The first step of reacting phosphorus pentachloride with ammonium chloride in an inert organic solvent in the presence of a catalyst comprising at least one of (a) chlorides of bivalent metals and (b) organic acid salts of bivalent metals, and distilling off the solvent from the resulting reaction mixture to obtain a reaction product consisting essentially of cyclic phosphonitrilic chloride oligomers, and(II) the second step of contacting a solution of the reaction product in at least one solvent selected from the group consisting of aliphatic hydrocarbons and ethers with water at a temperature of about 40.degree. to about 100.degree. C., separating the resulting aqueous layer from the organic layer, and isolating from the organic layer a mixture of cyclic phosphonitrilic chloride oligomers having outstanding polymerization properties and consisting essentially of the trimer and tetramer of the phosphonitrilic chloride.

    摘要: A card type optical recording medium according to the present invention relates to a card type optical recording medium arranged in such a manner that a plurality of tracks are formed on a recording region provided on a card type substrate and the tracks are divided into a plurality of blocks so that data is optically recorded to each of the blocks. The card type optical recording medium according to the present invention is characterized in that a portion of the recording region is provided with a defective block information region for determining a good or bad condition of the block to which the data is recorded. As a result, the defective block information can be read prior to the reading of data. Therefore, the necessity of accessing the defective block can be eliminated, causing a good reading efficiency to be realized. Furthermore, since the conventional necessity of writing the serial number to the block of the data recording region can be eliminated, an effect can be obtained in that the data capacity of the data recording region can be enlarged.

    摘要: A writing device for an optical memory card is disclosed. In this writing device, tracking correction is performed by moving a mobile objective lens of an optical system in the transverse direction of a track in accordance with a tracking error of the optical system relative to the optical memory card, and the range in which tracking correcting can be performed is enlarged by moving a retaining portion of the objective lens by a moving device when first comparison device has determined that tracking error information was outside a predetermined first standard range. The writing device includes a writing stoppage device for stopping writing data on the optical memory card when a second comparison device has determined that the tracking error information exceeded a second standard range which is wider than the first standard range. Since the retaining portion of the objective lens is moved in the direction in which any deviation occurring during tracking can be corrected, the range in which tracking correction can be performed can be enlarged. Further, since it is determined that erroneous tracking is occurring and writing of data is stopped when the deviation occurring during tracking for writing data has exceeded the second standard range which is larger than the first standard range, damage to the written data can be prevented.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for correcting an angular deviation or a skew of an optical recording medium in the reading/writing of data from or into the medium and a specific optical recording medium to which this method and apparatus are applicable. The optical recording medium comprises strip patterns formed on part of a substrate. This optical recording medium is relatively moved in a direction of the width of the strip patterns with respect to a pattern detecting device so that an optical system of the pattern detecting device detects the patterns at plural detecting points along the length of the strip patterns. A correction control device counts the number of the strip patterns passed, according to the relative movement as mentioned above and compares the count values at the respective detecting points to detect an angular deviation amount in a plane of the optical recording medium. The angular deviation is corrected by a rotation drive mechanism based on the detected angular deviation amount and direction of the deviation.
