摘要: Method and apparatus for introducing normally solid metals or metalloids into electrically conductive substrates. The invention is particularly useful in surface alloying of metal substrates and makes it possible to introduce metals into ferrous metal substrates to depths of 200 microns and more. The metal or metalloid to be introduced is maintained at an elevated temperature below the boiling point, the surface portion of the substrate is maintained at an elevated temperature below the deformation point, and a double glow discharge is employed under controlled conditions to transfer the metal or metalloid to the substrate.

摘要: Described herein are systems and methods for use with a load balancer or traffic director, and administration thereof. In accordance with an embodiment the system comprises a traffic director having one or more traffic director instances, which is configured to receive and communicate requests, from clients, to origin servers having one or more pools of servers. A traffic monitor, at the traffic director, monitors traffic, including the number of connections, between the traffic director instances and one or more of the resource servers within the origin servers. The traffic director can set a traffic rate which controls the traffic, including the number of connections, to provide surge protection, or rate acceleration/deceleration.

摘要: An optical disc drive for an electronic device is provided. The optical disc drive includes a rotating member, a spindle, a reading member and a controlling module. The rotating member includes a connecting member, and a first end fixed to a housing of the electronic device. The spindle is connected to a second end of the connecting member for rotating an optical disc arranged on the spindle. The reading member is fixed to the connecting member to read the optical disc. When a switch of the electronic device is actuated, a processing unit of the electronic device outputs a signal to the controlling module. The controlling module controls the rotating member to rotate. The connecting member moves the spindle and the reading member out of the housing, further controls the spindle to rotate the optical disc, and the reading member to read the optical disc.

摘要: A display device includes a display screen, an image capturing device, a calculating module, and an image adjusting module. The display screen is capable of displaying an image thereon, and includes a first side. The image capturing device captures an image of a viewer, and includes an image sensor with a second side parallel to the first side. The calculating module identifies a left eye image and a right eye image of the viewer from the image of the viewer, and calculates an angle formed between the first side of the display screen and an imaginary straight line passing through the actual left eye and right eye of the viewer. The image adjusting module rotates the image on the display screen to make the first side of the display screen parallel to the imaginary straight line passing through the actual left eye and right eye of the viewer.

摘要: An ink-jet media having an absorbent substrate with a front surface and a back surface. The front surface of the substrate is coated with an ink-vehicle permeable, preferably radiation-cured coating. A microporous ink-receptive coating is deposited on top of the ink-vehicle permeable coating. An optional protective layer may be deposited on top of the microporous ink-receptive layer. The back surface of the substrate may also be optionally coated with a polymer curl-controlling coating.

摘要: The present invention relates to ink-jet transfer media that can be printed with images using ink-jet printers. The printed image can be thermally transferred to fabric materials such as black or white colored T-shirts. The ink-jet transfer media of this invention comprise a support paper containing independently removable panels. Each removable panel is capable of being peeled away from the film coating. The removable panels are divided by means of a peel line in the paper.

摘要: Method and apparatus for introducing normally solid metals or metalloids into electrically conductive substrates. The invention is particularly useful in surface alloying of metal substrates and makes it possible to introduce such metals as tungsten into ferrous metal substrates to diffused depths of 100 microns and more without undue expense. The metal or metalloid to be introduced is maintained at an elevated temperature below the boiling point but equal to at least 40% of the melting point, the surface portion of the substrate is maintained at an elevated temperature below the deformation point, and a double glow discharge is employed under controlled conditions to transfer the metal or metalloid to the substrate.
