Abstract:
The present invention provides a system and method for integrating travel and expense management. The present invention enables an entity to integrate not only data that matches exactly, but also determine the likelihood that data that does not match exactly nevertheless corresponds to each other. The system comprises: a network; at least one terminal coupled to the network; and at least one server coupled to the network. The server comprises a program that includes: retrieving travel data records corresponding to travel requests; retrieving expense data records reflecting expense transactions; comparing the expense data records to the travel data records; and determining a likelihood that the expense data records match the travel data records.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for expense management, comprising: retrieving at least one electronic feed of charges for multiple expense receipt records directly from at least one lodging and/or transportation vendor, the at least one feed of charges including computer-readable electronic transaction data; detecting that at least one expense receipt record from the multiple expense receipt records from the at least one feed of charges is comprised of two or more line items; mapping the two or more line items to at least one transportation and/or lodging good and/or service that is chargeable to at least one account identifier, the mapping utilizing vendor expense codes and/or keyword searches; and pre-populating the at least one transportation and/or lodging good and/or service mapped to each of the two or more line items from the at least one expense receipt record in at least one expense report in at least one expense management system as two or more expense itemizations.
Abstract:
A computer-implemented method of targeting electronic messages to travelers, comprising performing processing associated with: utilizing geographic information comprising itinerary information, to determine where the travelers are currently and/or are projected to be during a given time period; creating a list of travelers which categorizes the geographic information and/or traveler information about the travelers on the list; electronically notifying a merchant with information related to the list and the current geographic information and/or current traveler information of the travelers on the list; receiving an electronic request from the merchant to transmit an electronic targeted message to some or all of the travelers on the list; and transmitting the electronic targeted message to some or all of the travelers on the list.
Abstract:
A method and system comprising: receiving travel request data; retrieving schedule data associated with the travel request data from the database, the schedule data being further associated with a scheduled travel time; retrieving availability data associated with the travel request data from the cache, the availability data being further associated with an available travel time; and sending the schedule data and the availability data via a computer network.
Abstract:
Systems and methods may perform processing associated with receiving, with a capture module in communication with a processor, data. Processing may be performed associated with converting, with an optical character recognition (OCR) module in communication with the capture module and the processor, the data into machine readable data. Processing may be performed associated with extracting, with a processing module in communication with the OCR module and the processor, relevant data from the machine readable data. Processing may be performed associated with populating, with the processing module, a field in a report with the relevant data.
Abstract:
Methods and Systems for providing a recommendation to a user, comprising: examining characteristics of a travel plan; identifying an opportunity that matches the characteristics; identifying a recommendation that matches the opportunity; and providing the recommendation to the user.
Abstract:
A system and method for booking and expensing travel products and services utilizing multiple data sources and presenting information pulled from the multiple data sources in one user-friendly format. The following features are included: graphical city selection; policy enforcement; request and approval queues: in-browser agent support; request prioritization; email confirmation and integration; data incorporation into expense reports; and expense report audits. For example, an employee books a ticket, has the booking approved by a manager if needed, receives email confirmation and integrates the booking information into the employee's calendar. The employee also submits, for example, the booking information into an expense report, which can be audited by an employer.
Abstract:
Methods and Systems for Targeting Messages to a Traveler. Requests can be received to transmit messages to a traveler based on a location and a categorization of the traveler. A device location can be received. Location information of the traveler can be determined. Prior expense report information can be determined. Entity expense policy can be determined. The location information, the prior expense information, and the entity expense policy information can be categorized to generate a projected route. Updated device location can be received. It can be determined that the device is in a location corresponding to the projected location information based on the updated device location. Any targeted messages that have a category that matches a category for the location information, the prior expense information, and the policy information can be transmitted to a device of the traveler.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for generating representation data, comprising: receiving travel request data; retrieving schedule data associated with the travel request data; generating representation data representing the schedule data; and sending the representation data via a computer network.
Abstract:
Methods and systems comprising receiving travel request data; retrieving schedule data associated with the travel request data, the schedule data being further associated with a scheduled travel time; retrieving availability data associated with the travel request data, the availability data being further associated with an available travel time; generating representation data representing the schedule data and the availability data, the representation data representing the schedule data and/or the availability data differently based on a whether an itinerary complies with an organization's travel policies; and sending the representation data.
