    摘要: An extendible tool includes a telescopic cylinder support having a first end and a second end. A telescopic cylinder is mounted on the telescopic cylinder support. The telescopic cylinder has a first position toward the first end of the telescopic cylinder support, and a second position toward the second end of the telescopic cylinder support. The telescopic cylinder is movable between the first position and the second position. A tool is mounted on the telescopic cylinder, such that when the telescopic cylinder is extended in the first position, the tool travels between a first point and a second point, and such that when the telescopic cylinder is extended in the second position the tool travels between the second point and a third point.

The yield monitor measures a forage yield by variously measuring a forage impingement force, a forage volume flow, a forage volume increment accumulation, or a forage processing machinery drive load. The yield monitor may generate a yield amount, with the yield amount capable of being stored and displayed to a forage processing machinery operator. Alternatively, the yield monitor may generate a groundspeed control signal that is used by the forage processing machinery to control a forage processing machinery groundspeed or other forage processing machinery parameters.

    摘要: A shearbar comprises an elongated mild steel body 10 having a top surface 14 covered with a layer of hardfacing material 16 along at least one longitudinal edge 18 to act as a counter knife to a rotary cutter. To resist the development of a wear gully on the vertical side of the body 10 below the cutting edge of the hardfacing material 16 the body has a region 22, having a hardness intermediate that of the steel body and the hardfacing layer, extending along and immediately below the longitudinal edge 18 of the hardfacing layer. In one embodiment the region is an inlay of tool steel. In another embodiment the region is formed by heat-hardening the corners of the body 10 itself.

    摘要: A field chopper has a frame adapted to travel along the ground in a normal travel direction, a main housing fixed on the frame and defining a chopping chamber extending along an axis transverse to the direction and having relative to the direction a front radially open intake opening and a rear outlet angularly offset therefrom, and an intake housing having a front end turned forward away from the frame. This intake housing is pivotal on the main housing or the frame about the axis. A stationary counterblade is carried on the intake housing to one angular side of the intake opening. A rotary cutting/chopping drum rotatable in the chamber about the axis has a blade orbitable immediately adjacent the stationary counterblade. Crop is cut at the the front end of the intake housing and conveyed back in the intake housing from the cutter to the intake opening. A drive rotates the drum and thereby chops crop delivered to the intake opening by the conveyor and also blows the chopped crop out of the chamber through the outlet. Shields surrounding the intake opening are carried on the housings.

    摘要: A device is used in the harvesting of green fodder for feeding a fodder preserving liquid. The device includes a vane-like sensing element located inside the cutting machine and turning in the approximate direction of the fodder flow depending upon the quantity of fodder which has been cut. The fodder preserving liquid flows into the machine from a container through a valve and a nozzle unit. The sensing element regulates the valve and thus regulates the quantity of preserving liquid supplied to the fodder.
