Abstract:
The present invention provides an electrostatic atomizing apparatus for a vehicle that is mounted in a vehicle and purifies a vehicle interior, having: an electrostatic atomizer comprising an electrode that generates an electric field when high voltage is applied thereto in a state where water is being supplied, to thereby turn the water into charged corpuscle water in the form of mist which is charged in either plus or minus, a water supply unit that supplies water to the electrode, and an emission outlet that emits the charged corpuscle water into the vehicle interior; and a potential holding unit that is installed in an on-vehicle component which a passenger contacts, and is used for holding a potential of the on-vehicle component at a potential at which the charged corpuscle water is continuously attracted to and absorbed by the passenger in contact with the on-vehicle component.
Abstract:
A pollen eliminating apparatus 10 which is a dust reducing apparatus applied to an automobile 12 includes an air cleaning apparatus 14 which is provided independently from an air conditioning system of the vehicle and which is disposed on a floor 16 in a passenger compartment for suctioning air from a lower position of the passenger compartment. The air cleaning apparatus allows the suctioned air to pass through a filter, thereby capturing pollen P in the air. With this structure, it is possible to provide a dust reducing apparatus capable of reliably eliminating dust such as pollen existing in the passenger compartment within a short time.
Abstract:
An air conditioner device includes a freestanding housing. An ion generator, which is positioned in the housing, includes at least one removable electrode. A germicidal lamp, which is also within the housing, emits UV radiation upon being energized. A safety mechanism cuts off power to at least one of the lamp and the ion generator when the removable electrode is removed from the housing. A removable panel is adapted to be secured to the housing. A further safety mechanism cuts-off power to at least one of the lamp and the ion generator when the removable panel is removed from the housing.
Abstract:
An electro-kinetic air conditioner for removing particulates from the air, preferably creates an airflow using no moving parts. The airflow is subjected to UV radiation from a germicidal lamp within the device. The conditioner includes an ion generator that has an electrode assembly including a first array of emitter electrodes, a second array of collector electrodes, and a high voltage generator. The device can also include a third or leading or focus electrode located upstream of the first array of emitter electrodes, and/or a trailing electrode located downstream of the second array of collector electrodes, and/or an interstitial electrode located between collector electrodes, and/or an enhanced emitter electrode with an enhanced length in order to increase emissivity.
Abstract:
A vehicle remote control and air treatment system includes a selectively operable air treatment device. The air treatment device may be an electrically powered ion generator for selectively generating ions in the vehicle, for example. The vehicle remote control and air treatment device may also include at least one remote transmitter, a receiver at the vehicle for receiving signals from the at least one remote transmitter, and a controller at the vehicle. The controller may be connected to the receiver for performing at least one vehicle function based upon signals from the remote transmitter, and may also selectively operate the air treatment device.
Abstract:
A method is for selectively removing gaseous pollutants from the ambient air, and a device is for implementing the method. Undesirable emissions may be selectively and completely removed from the ambient air using relatively simple equipment and a small amount of energy. Pollutants contained in the air to be purified are ionized by the action of optical radiation, based on resonant and/or non-resonant single-photon excitation and/or multiple-photon excitation, so that the ionized pollutants are drawn off and removed from the air to be purified, using an electric field. A small portion of the energy necessary for the ionization may also be applied in the form of microwave energy or electric-field energy. The method and device may be used in air-conditioning or other air-circulation systems.
Abstract:
An air purification assembly (10) that is adapted to be used in combination with a vehicle incorporating a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system (100). The assembly (10) consists of three elements: an electrostatic stabilizing filter (12), a membrane filter (32) and an electronic ionizer (40). The three assemblies (12, 32, 40) when operating in combination with the HVAC system (100) substantially absorb unpleasant odors, smoke, dust, pollen, mold spores, pet dander and particulate matter produced by a vehicle exhaust emissions.
Abstract:
A blower apparatus for a vehicle for blowing air into a cabin. The blower apparatus including a case member, various units and airflow passages. The units include an air cleaning unit for cleaning the air, and a component-adding unit for adding air components such as ions to the air. The units have compatible external shapes and sizes for selective installation in almost the same positions in the airflow passages, thereby meeting user needs of changing the function of the blower apparatus simply by arranging the units to the desired positions.
Abstract:
A passenger conveyance, such as a motor vehicle, a boat, an airplane or the like has walls which enclose and define a passenger compartment. A roof structure is provided on the passenger compartment. An arrangement for establishing within the passenger compartment an electrostatic field is provided and includes first electrode means which is remote from the roof structure, and second electrode means including an electrically conductive element and an electrically insulating element which insulates the conductive element from the remainder of the wall means. At least one of these elements constitutes at least a portion of the roof structure of the conveyance.
Abstract:
A vehicle fragrance supply device includes: a fragrance generator configured to generate a fragrance; a fragrance supply pipe configured to supply a generated scent from the fragrance generator to a vehicle cabin interior; and an ion supply pipe connected to the fragrance supply pipe, through which ions generated at an ion generator flow.
