摘要: An air cleaner includes: a generation unit configured to discharge an electric current by being applied with a high voltage, and generate a plurality of types of discharge products; an air-sending device configured to form a flow of air, and spray the plurality of types of discharge products generated from the generation unit to a space; an estimation unit configured to estimate an amount of dust floating in the space by selecting whether an amount of dust floating in the space is a first estimation amount smaller than a predetermined threshold or is a second estimation amount larger than or equal to the predetermined threshold and larger than the first estimation amount; and a control unit configured to control a generation amount of the plurality of types of discharge products to be generated from the generation unit based on the amount of dust estimated by the estimation unit.

摘要: Aspects of the present disclosure include a protective mask to be worn over a nose and mouth of a wearer to protect the wearer from hazards in surrounding ambient air. The mask includes a mask portion, an airway, and an ionization filter. The mask portion includes an interior that extends over the nose and mouth of the wearer. The airway extends between the interior of the mask portion and the surrounding ambient air. The ionization filter includes an emitter within a portion of the airway, and a collector plate radially encompassing the emitter and defining at least a portion of the airway. The collector plate is electrically connected to at least first and second conductive porous filters. The first and second conductive porous filters and the collector plate collectively form at least a portion of a Faraday cage that encapsulates the emitter.

摘要: An air treatment apparatus, system and method for removal of health threatening airborne pollutants from an airflow is provided. The air treatment apparatus includes a ducting section having an inactivation zone created by either a plasma-generating flexible electrode alone, a UV light source alone, or a combination of a plasma-generating flexible electrode and a UV light source disposed within the interior of the ducting section, wherein the airflow and airborne pollutants are urged into the inactivation zone ensuring multiple exposures of airborne pollutant material into the inactivation zone resulting in purified air exiting from the apparatus.

A UV light source(102), which is preferably positioned parallel to the flow of air ensuring continuous disinfection of the airstream due to increased residence time, and a filter (106) that is preferably positioned surrounding/around the UV source. In an embodiment, the invention is disclosing a self-cleaning ability that is achieved by using electrostatic fields. In another embodiment, a small, compact self-cleaning purifier/device can be used to sanitize small, enclosed spaces like cars, cabins, etc.
