Abstract:
A service cart adapted to be moved along an aisle is provided, the service cart comprising a body defining an upper portion, a lower portion and two opposed lateral portions respectively disposed between the upper and the bottom portions, the portions being interconnected with intervening curved portions to form a continuous wall thereof and at least one longitudinal opening; wheels attached to a lower portion of the body for supporting the body; and a closing device for substantially closing the longitudinal opening. A method of manufacturing a service cart and a service cart kit are also provided.
Abstract:
A container for the dispensing of electrical or communications cable has an external carton which receives a reel of cable and is supported by left and right supports. A continuous axial passageway through the container extends through the left panel of the carton, the left support, the spindle of the reel, the right support, and the right panel of the carton so that an elongate connecting rod may be passed through the container.
Abstract:
A utility truck with arched reinforcing rods incorporated into the base of a plastic truck during molding. The reinforcing rods are held in place in a mold at a predetermined distance above the mold's inner surface by spacers attached to the ends of the rods. Plastic is molded around the rods, with more plastic provided below the rods than above them, so that, when the plastic truck is removed from the mold and allowed to cool, the plastic will contract to a greater extent than the metal rods, causing the base and the reinforcing rods to bow upward, creating a convex arch in the truck's base. The arch provides an inherently strong, bridge-type structure that substantially strengthens the load-bearing capability of the truck, yet requires less reinforcing material than conventional supplemental chassis structures. In another embodiment, caster base mounts are also molded into the bottom of the truck, providing a utility truck with a unitary chassis structure.
Abstract:
A combination food cooler and table assembly includes a cooler base having an insulated cavity covered by a removable lid and a table assembly overlying the cooler lid. A table sub-panel has two legs that slide within table leg sleeves at opposite ends of the cooler base. A table top mounted over the sub-panel includes a central panel and a pair of drop leaves hingedly attached to opposite sides of the central panel. A pair of handhold openings in the sub-panel, accessed through hinged covers at the ends of the central panel, permit the user to raise the table assembly to a desired height. The central panel is mounted atop the sub-panel by means of a swivel mechanism that permits the table top to be rotated about its central axis 90 degrees with respect to the sub-panel when the drop leaves are raised outwardly and upwardly from a vertical or transport position to a horizontal position. A locking handle/pawl mechanism associated with each of the table leg sleeves engages a selected one of a plurality of recessed notches in the table leg sleeves to thereby lock the table assembly in a raised position of desired height above the cooler base.
Abstract:
The invention described is a collapsible service trolley with left and right side compartments; one left front wall is hinged to the left side compartment; one right front wall is hinged to the right side compartment; one left back door is hinged to the left side compartment; one right back door is hinged to the right side compartment; one left upper wall hinged to the left side compartment; one right upper wall hinged to the right side compartment and hinged to the left upper wall; one left lower wall hinged to the left side compartment and one right lower wall hinged to the right side compartment and hinged to the left lower wall. In the collapsed position of the trolley each compartment contains the elements hinged thereto; in said position, the trolley is compact and easily stored.
Abstract:
I have invented a compactable utility laundry pushcart, with a weight activated rising/lowering bottom, with built in storage compartments for laundry detergents hangars and accessories, as well as change/money, keys, cupholder, etc . . . . It is to be durable with a 3-5 year lifespan, made for indoor, but more outdoor, hauling/transferring of personal laundry and laundry accessories.
Abstract:
A new transportation cart is provided that separates each reticle box or container from other reticle boxes contained in the cart. The transportation cart provides additional shock absorption, thus eliminating effects of vibration of the reticles, the transportation cart is equipped with ESD protection and provides improved security to the transported reticles.
Abstract:
The device of this invention includes a frame assembly, a support bracket with an opening connected to the frame assembly, a first spring pivotably connected to the frame assembly, and a control mechanism. The control mechanism can be positioned into a first condition where an end of the spring is engaged to the opening in the support bracket and a second condition where the end of the spring is disengaged from the opening.
Abstract:
A cooler assembly includes: a rigid platform; a rigid lid; and an inflatable wall interconnecting the rigid platform and the rigid lid so as to define an insulated interior space therebetween for receiving food and ice. The deflated wall is received within, and does not protrude from, the rigid platform when the cooler assembly is in a storage configuration. The rigid lid is received within the rigid platform when the cooler assembly is in the storage configuration. The rigid lid may be received within, and partially protrude from, the rigid platform when the cooler assembly is in the storage configuration.
Abstract:
A system of transport carts are positioned in side by side relation in fore and aft extending spaced apart rows disposed along a delivery van to leave an aisle between them. The carts have wheel supported upright frames with bottom supports for the products disposed at a level above the floor of the van and open fronts with front decks movable from a stowed retracted position to a generally horizontal operative position adjacent the bottom supports. The decks are movable into generally abutting relation to form a raised false floor between the rows of carts on which hand trucks can travel.
