Abstract:
A reconfigurable work station includes a work surface supported atop a pedestal and base. A linkage arm is affixed to the base or pedestal at a first end and pivotally connected to a fixed member at a second end. The work station can pivot, with the linkage arm, about the fixed member to be selectively positioned in multiple positions. The pedestal may be height adjustable and the work surface may be rotatable atop the pedestal. Alternatively, the work station can include two pedestals and the linkage arm can be rotatably connected to one of the pedestals to rotate the work station, as well as to pivot the work station about the fixed member. A work space includes the work station and at least one wall panel, and a work space system includes multiple work spaces. Work stations within respective work spaces can be selectively positioned in focused or collaborative configurations.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a configurable seating unit. The configurable seating unit is comprised of at least one rotatable seating component mounted on the periphery of a seating unit base through at least one vertical arm component; at least one seating component connected to at least one table component through at least one connecting arm, wherein at least one connecting arm is attached to the at least one vertical arm component at proximal end and the at least one table component at distal end; and a central component mounted on center of the seating unit base.
Abstract:
An overbed table may have a base support frame with at least three casters and a rechargeable battery. A motor housing with a top wall having an opening may be attached to the base support and a telescoping column that is hollow tubular is attached at a bottom end to the motor housing over the opening to extend upwardly. A linear motor is positioned in the motor housing with a linear motor actuator projecting through the opening and into the telescoping housing wherein an extension member of the linear motor actuator is attached at a top end to a slidable table column member of the telescoping housing. Servo housing is attached at a top end of the slidable table column member with a servomechanism attached in the servo housing positioned for a rotating shaft of the servomechanism to engage a circular bracket attached adjacent to a first end of a table wherein the circular bracket is rotatably engaged with the servo housing. The rechargeable battery is in electrical communication with a control processor of a control panel attached adjacent the first end of the table, to the linear motor and to the servomechanism.
Abstract:
A furniture swivel for rotatably coupling first and second furniture components is disclosed. The furniture swivel includes a base, a rotor, and a retainer. The base may have a lower end for connecting to a first furniture component and an upper end including a planar base bearing surface. The rotor may have an upper end having a first portion for connecting to a second furniture component, and a lower end including a planar rotor bearing surface in sliding contact with the base bearing surface to form a plane bearing absent rolling elements for supporting the rotor and the first furniture component on the base. The retainer may be coupled to the base for substantially inhibiting translation of the rotor relative to the base.
Abstract:
A table includes a vertical support column and a base. The base includes a first floor engaging portion disposed on a first side of a vertical axis and a second floor engaging portion disposed on an opposite second side of the vertical axis. The first and second floor engaging portions are weighted such that the base has a center of gravity spaced from the vertical axis on the second side of the vertical axis. A worksurface member is supported by the vertical support column and is vertically spaced from the base. The worksurface member is rotatable relative to the base. In one aspect, the worksurface member has an overall length greater than the overall length of the base. In another aspect, a stop limits rotation of the worksurface member.
Abstract:
To provide either a facility comprising a plurality of stores that offer food and drink, and that treats customer seating for the plurality of stores as a shared space, or a method of attracting customers to said facility. This facility comprises: a traveling wheeled vehicle, which is capable of carrying customers on a tour of the shared space; and rotating tables. The rotating tables are configured such that tables are positioned upon rotating devices. The rotating devices comprise upper rotating bodies, further comprising central gears which are positioned in the centers of bases. The rotating devices further comprise: drive motors that are capable of rotationally driving the central gears; and casters that support the upper rotating bodies. The traveling wheeled vehicle and the rotating tables are positioned in the shared space.
Abstract:
A combined table and chair seating apparatus is provided. The seating apparatus comprising a table (25), a chair (26) and a table base (16). The table comprises a table top (10) and a table leg (11) defining an axis about which axis the table top is rotatable with respect to the table base. The chair is mounted for rotation with the table top about the axis. In a preferred embodiment, the chair comprises a seat and a chair frame upon which the seat is mounted. The frame includes at least one floor-engaging leg. Preferably, the table leg has upper and lower ends, the lower end being mounted for rotation upon the table base and the chair frame is mounted upon the table leg at a point intermediate the upper and lower ends thereof. More preferably, the chair frame is mounted substantially adjacent the lower end of the table leg.
Abstract:
A pop-up rotatable tray assembly is disclosed herein. The pop-up rotatable tray assembly includes a base portion, a tray support structure rotatably coupled to the base portion, and a tray top member having a top surface. The tray top member is supported by the tray support structure, and the tray top member is configured to be adjustable between an elevated position and a retracted position. A tabletop assembly, which includes the pop-up rotatable tray assembly, is also disclosed herein. When the tray top member is disposed in the elevated position, the top surface of the tray top member is spaced apart from a top surface of a tabletop peripheral portion by a vertical distance. When the tray top member is disposed in the retracted position, the tray top member is substantially aligned with the top surface of the tabletop peripheral portion.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for rotating articles stored on a pallet without rotating the entire pallet. The turntable of the present invention is located on the pallet or integrated into the top surface of the pallet. By rotating the pallet within the rack, the articles thereon may be loaded and unloaded from a position directly in front of the picker.
