In the retracted position, substantially no opening force can readily be applied to the opening member 3. In the extended position, an opening force can be applied to the opening member 3 to open the container. A spring or similar device is provided for automatically returning the opening member to the retracted position.

摘要： A child resistant cap for a bottle includes a cover portion with a periphery having a wall with an internal surface surrounds the neck when the cap is positioned on the bottle. The bottle includes a neck, an opening and a rib with a gap. A finger and a locking lug extend from the internal surface. The finger has a length less than a length of the gap. The locking lug has a length greater than the length of the gap. The locking lug and the finger engage the rib and permit a rotation between a first position, where the finger and gap are aligned and a series of second positions, where the finger and gap are not aligned. A tab extends from the cover portion for applying a force to the cover when the cap is in the first position to remove the cap from the bottle.

摘要： A child proof medicine vial is provided having a bead for mating in a recess in a flange in the cap whereby the cap is tightly secured to the vial. The cap is provided with a recess and complimentary slots and inner chamber whereby a panel may be slidable into and out of the cap. When the panel is fully inserted in the cap, there are no projections on the cap for facilitating removal of the cap from the vial. When fully retracted from the cap, the panel permits the user to raise the cap thus permitting access to the vial. When fully retracted, the panel may have indicia to the effect that the vial is nonchild proof. An integral hinge is provided between the cap and vial so that the cap may be flipped away from, yet attached to, the vial.

摘要： A removal-resistant plug or closure for a container has a slide radially extensible beyond the circumference of the plug and container to provide a gripping surface for removal of the plug. With the slide retracted, the exterior surfaces of the plug is smooth and devoid of any gripping surface. A seal attached after the container is filled and the plug inserted is provided by a cavity which extends across a lateral edge of the slide and the adjacent portion of the slide guide in the plug. A marker plate is attached to cover the cavity such that when the slide is moved, the portions of the cavity are misaligned to break the marker plate from the plug to provide a visible indication that the seal has been broken.

摘要： A stopper which engages a neck of a container. The stopper includes a circular bottom section and a head section which rises above the container and encompasses a slide. The rim of the head section has a maximum diameter that does not exceed the external diameter of the opening of the container. The slide can be pushed against the force of a spring device in one direction and, when released, returns to its retracted initial position as a result of the spring force. Opposing sides of the slide each end in circumferential sections. A first one of the circumferential sections forming an outer surface for receiving a first applied force for advancing the slide and causing the second one of the circumferential sections to protrude from the stopper. The second one of the circumferential sections receiving a second different applied force to remove the stopper from the container.
