    摘要: Equipment for use with hand-held motion picture and video cameras comprises a pair of interconnected spring loaded arms, one end of which is pivotally supported by a carrying brace worn by a cameraman and the other end of which is connected to a handle positioned to mount the camera equipment at approximately the center of the moment of inertia. The camera and its associated equipment are mounted in exploded, balanced relation about the handle. The weight of the camera equipment is substantially counterbalanced by the action of the spring loaded arms without employing counterweights. A camera viewer is provided, to facilitate viewing from a position remote from the camera itself and not necessarily governed by the camera orientation.

    摘要: A rotatable camera mount for mounting on a vehicle is described. The mount includes a generally vertically aligned shaft that is coupled to a vehicle via a coupling assembly. A body is rotatably disposed on the shaft and provides a camera-mounting flange along one side and tail and swing-weight assemblies extending from an opposite side. The tail assembly provides a wing that extends into an airflow passing the mount to direct the camera with respect to the airflow. The swing-weight assembly counteracts forces on a camera coupled to the mounting flange when the vehicle encounters a turn to direct the camera into the turn. Rotation of the body about the shaft can be dampened by fluid dampening, brake assemblies, friction dampening, and hard stops. The shaft can be oriented at angle with respect to vertical to bias directing of the camera in a desired direction.

    摘要: A computer support for use in a vehicle interior includes a base having a pivotally secured riser bracket coupled thereto. The base is attached to a convenient vehicle surface such as the transmission hump or the like. A pair of telescoping risers are supported by the riser bracket and provide vertical movement of an arm carrier mechanism. The arm carrier in turn supports a pair of pivotally coupled arms which in turn support a platform bracket. A computer platform suitable for receiving and supporting a portable computer is received upon the platform bracket and includes a lock mechanism for securing the computer against unauthorized removal. Adjustments are provided for the vertical heights and horizontal position as well as angular tilt and horizontal angular position of the computer platform. Each adjustment of each position and angle includes apparatus for securing and maintaining a selected position.

    摘要: A support apparatus for a portable weight such as a camera comprising at least a pair substantially friction-free arms which are rotatably and pivotally interconnected at a hinge bracket. One end of the interconnected pair of arms is rotatably and pivotably connected to a mount which may be worn by an operator or attached to a movable support. The other end is adapted to carry a weight such as a camera.Each arm is parallelogram in configuration and is provided with a segmented spring designed to apply a constant force to compensate for the weight applied to the end of each arm. The segmented spring acts as a single spring mounted diagonally across the parallelogram and exerts a force which is equal to the weight applied to the end of the parallelogram arm times the length of its diagonal divided by the distance between the attachment points of the parallelogram to the hinge bracket.In operation, the weight carried by the support apparatus is spacially decoupled from the mount to increase isolation of the weight from the operator or support.
