    摘要: A voltage and frequency converter device for converting a primary voltage and frequency from an electrical supply to a secondary voltage and frequency particularly useful in powering the timing mechanisms in appliances made to operate at the secondary voltage and frequency, includes a rectifier circuit for converting the alternating current oscillating at the primary frequency to direct current, circuitry for causing the current to oscillate at the second frequency and for converting the primary voltage to the secondary voltage. The output of the converter is preferably coupled only between the power source and the timing circuitry of the appliance but may also be coupled to the power circuitry for motors and the like provided the converter is further configured to generate a true sine wave output. The invention further includes a wiring configuration for a dwelling whereby the voltage and frequency converter is interconnected between the power source and the electrical wiring of the dwelling to provide the secondary voltage and frequency to at least one secondary outlet and the primary voltage and frequency to at least one primary outlet in the dwelling whereby electrical appliances which are made to operate on the secondary voltage and frequency can be utilized in the dwelling.

    摘要: A start controlling circuit for delivering a start signal to a constant current generator to cause the latter to supply an output current to a load through which a load current flows. The load current is detected to produce a detection voltage indicative of the load current. A variable control voltage is converted into a first pulse sequence having a repetition period decreasing in response to a rise in the control voltage, and the first pulse sequence is processed into a second pulse sequence having a pulse width which increases in response to such a rise. The second pulse sequence is supplied to the constant current generator as the start signal. An error signal is produced representing the difference between the detection voltage and a gradually rising d.c. reference voltage. The error signal is amplified and applied as the control voltage. The reference voltage is varied when variations in the load result in a change in the load current.

    摘要: An electronic AC voltage stabilizer using a class B amplifier output stage which is fed by a full-wave rectified sinewave voltage. The input voltage to (the phase inverter of) the class B amplifier output stage is kept in phase with the aforesaid sinewave voltage, which causes the power losses in the output stage to be very low. As compared to other electronic AC stabilizers, the apparatus according to the invention offers high efficiency and simplicity. The AC stabilizer can easily be converted into a true uninterruptible power supply (UPS) by adding a battery which through a battery interface circuit connects the battery voltage, after it has been appropriately converted into a full wave rectified sinewave voltage, to the push pull amplifier output stage when a power network fails.

    摘要: Overcurrent protection is obtained in a push-pull network by circuitry repeatedly comparing signals indicative of the instantaneous current flow through the push-pull switching elements with a synchronized reference signal whose value is preferably made to decline during the ON periods of the current switches. Thus, the reference signal may initially be set relatively high to accommodate a moderately high in-rush transient and then to decline to lower levels over the remainder of the time the switching elements are on. At any time that the current signals exceed the compared to reference value, the corresponding current switch is deactivated as a protective measure.

The pulse train is modulated by two independent feedback loops which each use the sinusoidal output as its reference. The first loop controls output voltage by a high gain negative feedback signal to a pulse width modulator, while the second loop shapes the sinusoidal output by a less than unity gain, positive feedback signal to a second pulse width modulator.

    摘要: A variable duty cycle ultrasonic inverter is used to invert unregulated direct current into a high frequency variable pulse width modulated signal that is applied to a low frequency inverter by means of a high frequency transformer. The output of the low frequency is applied to an output filter where a feedback signal is coupled back to the variable duty cycle ultrasonic converter which is controlled by a comparison of the feedback signal and a sinusoidal reference signal. The sinusoidal reference signal is also used to control the low frequency inverter.

    摘要: An A.C. power supply circuit for use with an A.C. source and a battery includes a full-wave rectifier for rectifying the A.C. signal produced by the A.C. source, a battery supply control circuit responsive to a control signal for coupling the battery to the output of the rectifier, an A.C. sensing circuit for applying a control signal to the battery supply control circuit if the amplitude of the signal produced by the A.C. source falls below a predetermined level, and an oscillator circuit for producing an oscillatory signal in response to the signal present on the output of the rectifier. A battery sensing circuit is also included for producing a second control signal if the charge on the battery falls below some predetermined level. In response to this second control signal, a battery charge circuit applies a rectified A.C. signal from the A.C. source to the battery. If the charge on the battery falls below a second lower predetermined level, a shutdown circuit applies a signal to the battery supply control circuit to prevent the control circuit from connecting the battery to the output of the rectifier.
