摘要： A worm drive clamp comprises a worm drive member and a unitary strap and housing member. The worm drive member has a cylindrical body with a thread, a pawled portion below the body, and a head suitable for turning by a driver such as a hex nut driver. The worm drive member is situated in a chamber defined by the housing. The bottom wall of the housing has a ratcheted recess that interacts with the pawled portion to prevent counterclockwise rotation of the drive member. As the strap is passed upwards through a slot in the housing, grooves on the strap engage the thread of the worm drive member so that the strap is drawn upwards as the worm drive member is rotated clockwise.

摘要： A locking member (20) for use with a worm-drive hose clip having a strap (15) of encircling an article to be clamped is arranged for slidable mounting on the main part (15) of the strap. When so mounted, the free end (17) of the strap may be entered into the locking member (20) which has a retaining portion (27) adapted to lie against the inwardly directed face of the strap so as to be clamped between the strap (15) and an article (28), on tightening of the clip around the article. The locking member (20) also has a catch member (23) which engages one of the worm-drive abutments (18) on the free end (17) of the strap so that once the clip is tightened, the catch member (23) resists withdrawal of the free end (17) from the locking member (20).

摘要： The invention relates to a hose clip with a bearing part for a band tightening screw, a metal housing with a bracket and an annularly curved flat metal band. At one end the metal band is rigidly secured to the bracket and its other free end can be led through a band channel in the housing close to the bracket. In addition, in the region of its free end, the metal band has a grid-like set of perforations with transversely inclined shoulders to engage with a short thread on the tightening screw in the bracket region of the housing. To permit automatic manufacture with a high degree of process reliability, the housing takes the form of a one-piece bent component attached by laser weld seams at joining points in the region of the bearing part and the saddle. In addition, one end of the band is either butt or lap-welded to the bracket by another laser weld seam. The band tightening screw is arranged axially and radially in the bearing part with a head section and, at the end opposite the head section has a short thread. The short thread can be fully axially moved out of its region of engagement with the band perforation, thus permitting rapid fitting.

摘要： A hose clamp is provided for compressing a hose radially to hold the hose on a pipe. The clamp has a band for wrapping about the hose over the pipe and includes a first end and a free end. Angled slots extend in parallel adjacent the free end and a housing is attached to the first end and includes first and second end walls. An adjustment screw passes through the first end wall and extends generally in parallel with respect to the bands, the screw being contained within the housing at all times but for a head and a part of a shank adjacent the head. The head is operable to rotate the screw which has a thread in engagement with the angled slots so that rotation of the screw will adjust the band about a hose. The screw also includes a thrust surface adjacent the thread and remote from the head and a helical coil spring is contained in the housing in alignment with the screw and in compressive engagement between the thrust surface and the second end wall. An end piece on the screw engages into the spring sufficient to locate the spring and the screw about a common axis. As a result, after the screw has been rotated to tighten the band, the screw can subsequently be further rotated to compress the helical coil spring and thereby store energy in the spring for use in automatically tightening the clamp should the hose creep to a smaller diameter.

摘要： This invention relates to a hose clamp constituted by a band of material, generally metal, wound on itself, one of the ends of said band presenting relief elements forming a rack, whilst on the other end is fixed a housing which constitutes the support of a screw which is mounted to pivot about its axis, said screw abutting on a stop axially mobile with respect to the housing against the action of a spring. The spring is constituted by a curved blade, for example in the form of a semi-circle, whose concavity faces the inside of the clamp and whose ends are laterally in contact with the sides of the housing. A first end of said blade is axially fixed to the housing and provided with an opening in which the tail of the screw may slide, whilst the second end of the blade surrounds at least partially the shank of the screw in the vicinity of its head and is mounted to slide with respect to the sides of the housing.

The bent part includes a cross bar which is adapted to be pressed onto a longitudinal wall of the transverse slit by a tension applied to the tightening strap when the tightening strap is tightened.
