摘要: A fixing device for fixing a swap body in or on the pick-up area of a vehicle. At least one support structure is positioned in the pick-up area, with at least one pick-up floor positioned in the pick-up area, with at least one rail-style guide element spaced from the pick-up floor which is fixed to the support structure or the swap body and which demonstrates a guide surface. At least one support element is positioned on a swap body or on the support structure which is positioned between the guide element and pick-up floor when transferring the swap body into the pick-up area or out of the pick-up area. At least the guide surface of at least one guide element demonstrates an incline in relation to the pick-up floor.

摘要: An apparatus for storing or transporting flowable materials or other materials, such as diesel fuel, includes a container and a support. The container is supported by the support. The support sits on or is mounted across an upper part of an open top railway wagon or open top truck or truck trailer used for transporting bulk commodities (such as coal or iron ore). The apparatus is movable between an expanded configuration in which the container is expandable into a lower part of the open top railway wagon or open top truck or truck trailer used for transporting bulk commodities, and a collapsed configuration in which the container is collapsible to the support. In use, a railway wagon is filled with coal or other bulk commodities and the apparatus is placed on top of the railway wagon in the collapsed configuration. At the port, the coal is emptied from the railway wagon and the container of the apparatus is filled with fuel. The support supports the apparatus on the railway wagon and the container extends into the railway wagon. The fuel may then be transported back to the mine, where the apparatus is removed from the railway wagon and the container decanted. The railway wagon is again filled with coal or other bulk commodities and the apparatus is placed on top of the railway wagon in the collapsed configuration and the cycle continues to meet the fuel requirements of the relevant mine.

摘要: An electronic trigger rotary latch includes a trigger cutout, a controller in electrical communication with a plug receiver. Springs are engaged to the latch and trigger pawls. A gear motor having an actuator engages a surface of the trigger pawl. A handle includes a striker bolt and an electrical plug. In an unlatched configuration the striker bolt is separated from the latch pawl, an electrical circuit is open, the latch pawl spring has reduced compression, the trigger pawl spring has increased compression, and the trigger tip is engaged to a latch tab. The actuator has moved the lower leg in the trigger cutout. In the latched configuration, the striker bolt is held by the latch pawl, an electrical circuit is closed, the trigger tip is engaged to the latch shoulder, and the trigger leg has been moved in the trigger cutout in an opposite direction.

摘要: A lashing system is usable on cargo ships that are transporting shipping containers, optionally as a supplement to standard lashing bridges provided on cargo ships. The lashing system includes a support that can interface with the pre-existing interlocking system provided on the shipping containers. The support can be lifted and placed on a stack of shipping containers using the same cranes used for loading and unloading shipping containers. The lashing system includes lashings that are attached to the support and are releasably connectable to another shipping container or to a structure of the cargo ship. The tension in the lashings is preferably monitored during the trips of the cargo ships.

摘要: A cargo restraint includes a housing. The cargo restraint further includes an inner pawl and an outer pawl coupled to the housing and configured to rotate between a retracted position and an erected position relative to the housing. The cargo restraint further includes a locking pawl rotatably coupled to at least one of the inner pawl or the outer pawl and configured to rotate between a locked position in which the inner pawl and the outer pawl are locked in the erected position and an unlocked position.

摘要: A tie-down assembly for selective attachment to a structure at an oblong aperture defined thereby and detachment therefrom includes an anchor arranged along an axis. The anchor has an oblong-shaped section configured to be inserted into the structure's oblong aperture. The anchor also has a knob section which turns the anchor's oblong-shaped section about the axis when a torque is applied to the knob section. The assembly also includes a rail mount configured to abut the oblong-shaped section, and defining a pocket for accepting the knob section and limiting rotation of the oblong-shaped section via contact with the knob section. The anchor's oblong-shaped section and the rail mount are together configured to sandwich therebetween material of the structure proximate the oblong aperture after the anchor's oblong-shaped section is inserted into and turned relative to the oblong aperture to thereby attach the tie-down assembly to the structure.

摘要: In accordance with presently disclosed embodiments, systems and methods for handling bulk material in a manner that reduces dust, noise, and emissions are provided. The presently disclosed techniques use portable containers to transfer bulk material from a transportation unit to a blender inlet. The containers may be carried to the location on the transportation unit, where a hoisting mechanism is used to remove the container from the transportation unit and place it in a desired location. When bulk material is needed at the blender inlet, the hoisting mechanism may position the container of bulk material onto an elevated support structure. Once on the support structure, the container may be opened to release bulk material to a gravity feed outlet, which routes the bulk material from the container directly into the blender inlet. The disclosed containerized bulk material transfer system and method allows for reduced dust, noise, and emissions on location.

摘要: A system for transporting a plurality of wind turbine blades comprising: a plurality of root frame elements (30, 92) that are configured for supporting a root portion of a wind turbine blade, the root frame elements (30, 92) stacked on top of each other to form a plurality of blade stacks that are positioned in a side-by-side fashion with each other so wind turbine blades may be supported in a stacked array (62, 90); at least one bridging element (54, 94) spanning between a root frame element (30, 92) of one blade stack and a root frame element (30) of an adjacent blade stack for laterally securing the blade stacks in the side-by-side fashion; at least one lashing element (100) spanning diagonally across diagonally adjacent root frame elements (30, 92) of adjacent blade stacks and coupled to the said diagonally adjacent root frame elements (30, 92) of the adjacent blade stacks for increasing the stiffness of the blade stacks in the stacked array (62, 90).

摘要: Presenting an auxiliary storage apparatus and aircraft container that enables existing non-regulated temperature containers to be equipped with specific features such as cooling, heating, and humidifying features. The storage container with specific features is inserted into a non-regulated temperature container for aircraft use and affixed to the interior of the non-regulated temperature container by the auxiliary storage apparatus, which includes a wire that passes over the storage container, hooks and pulleys that affix to existing support brackets located on four corners of a floor surface, and a turnbuckle. One end of the wire hooks onto a first hook. The wire passes over the storage container and winds around the pulleys. The other end of the wire attaches to a second hook using the turnbuckle. During operation of the turnbuckle, the wire tightens against the storage container, and the storage container is affixed to the interior of the non-regulated temperature container.

摘要: A securing assembly is adapted to secure objects to a structure. The assembly includes an attachment mechanism adapted to attach the assembly to an object in use. An elongate rod has a first end and a second end, wherein the first end is connectable to the attachment mechanism and the second end is connectable to an adjustment device. A base is adapted to connect the adjustment device to the structure in use. The adjustment device is operable to adjust a tension between the object and the structure by way of the assembly to secure the object to the structure in use.
