摘要： A latch-extension assembly having an extension bar, with a latch assembly on one end, a latch-pin assembly on the other end, and a support assembly attached to the extension bar near the latch end. The extension bar length may be fixed or adjustable. The support assembly may have a socket permanently attached to the extension bar which may removably receive a support pillar, with attachment feature. The pillar may have a base with an attachment feature such as a clamp adapted to mount the support pillar on a vehicle lift frame or rail. A latch-extension system may have two latch-extension assemblies, which may be left and right mirror images, and may be joined by a bracing rod fastened to the support pillars, and by a pivot extension rod that enables both latches to be operated by a single latch handle on either side of the vehicle.

摘要： A system for delivering packages from a warehouse to end destinations, the system comprising a fleet of self-propelled long-range transports and a fleet of containers, each configured to be loaded at the warehouse with packages destined for end destinations. Each long-range transport is configured to be loaded with at least four of the loaded containers and transport the at least four of the loaded containers from the warehouse to one or more intermediate destinations. Upon arrival of one of the loaded long-range transports at one of the one or more intermediate destinations, at least one of the loaded containers is separated from the loaded long-range transport, whereupon the separated container delivers packages to end destinations proximate to the one of the one or more intermediate destinations. After delivery of at least some of the packages loaded thereon at the warehouse, the container is once again loaded on the long-range transport and returned to the warehouse to be loaded with more packages.

摘要： A truck bed is divided into a plurality of bays, each bay being defined by a pair of dividers. In each bay is a pallet. A latching mechanism assembly is attached to a bottom rail of each pallet and comprises a bolt which is spring-loaded outwardly, through the keeper hole in an adjacent divider. A triangular link is rotatably mounted at a fixed pivot point in the assembly. The bolt is coupled to a second point on the link. An actuator is movable substantially vertically and is attached to a third point on the link. When the fork of a lift truck engages the actuator and raises it, the link is caused to rotate about the fixed pivot point, to withdraw the bolt and thereby unlatch the latching mechanism.

摘要： An apparatus for storing or transporting flowable materials or other materials, such as diesel fuel, includes a container and a support. The container is supported by the support. The support sits on or is mounted across an upper part of an open top railway wagon or open top truck or truck trailer used for transporting bulk commodities (such as coal or iron ore). The apparatus is movable between an expanded configuration in which the container is expandable into a lower part of the open top railway wagon or open top truck or truck trailer used for transporting bulk commodities, and a collapsed configuration in which the container is collapsible to the support. In use, a railway wagon is filled with coal or other bulk commodities and the apparatus is placed on top of the railway wagon in the collapsed configuration. At the port, the coal is emptied from the railway wagon and the container of the apparatus is filled with fuel. The support supports the apparatus on the railway wagon and the container extends into the railway wagon. The fuel may then be transported back to the mine, where the apparatus is removed from the railway wagon and the container decanted. The railway wagon is again filled with coal or other bulk commodities and the apparatus is placed on top of the railway wagon in the collapsed configuration and the cycle continues to meet the fuel requirements of the relevant mine.
