The task manager selects and assigns a second sequence of sub-tasks to a second robotic machine that has a second set of capabilities and operates according to a second mode of operation. The task manager selects the first robotic machine based on the first set of capabilities and the first mode of operation of the first robotic machine, and selects the second robotic machine based on the second set of capabilities and the second mode of operation.

摘要: A locomotive control system may include first and second robotic machines and a task manager. The first and second robotic machines have respective first and second sets of capabilities for interacting with a surrounding environment. The task manager selects the first and second robotic machines from a group to perform a task based on the first and second sets of capabilities of the robotic machines. The task involves manipulating and/or inspecting a target object of a vehicle. The task manager assigns a first sequence of sub-tasks to be performed by the first robotic machine and a second sequence of sub-tasks to be performed by the second robotic machine. The first and second robotic machines are configured to coordinate performance of the first sequence of sub-tasks by the first robotic machine with performance of the second sequence of sub-tasks by the second robotic machine to accomplish the task.

摘要: An improved model railroad coupler incorporates a coupler shank, having a joining element at one end thereof and a coupler head at the other end thereof. A coupler-knuckle receiver is located within the coupler head and receives a coupler knuckle. The knuckle is provided with limited, rotational movement within the coupler head, through a predefined arc. The coupler head has a first knuckle stop located thereon which limits rotational movement of the coupler knuckle relative to the coupler head in a first direction of rotation. A second knuckle stop is located on one side of the coupler head adjacent to the shank. A knuckle limiter is located on the coupler knuckle. The second knuckle stop and the knuckle limiter are constructed and arranged to abut one another when the coupler knuckle is shifted to an open position, thereby stopping rotation of the coupler knuckle relative to the coupler head. A spring is carried on the second knuckle stop and the knuckle limiter, extends therebetween, and is operable to urge the coupler knuckle to a closed position wherein the coupler knuckle abuts the first knuckle stop.

摘要: Apparatus for automatically uncoupling track-guided toy vehicles includes a first coupling element pivotally mounted on one toy vehicle for pivotal movement between a coupling position and an uncoupling position and a second coupling element mounted on another toy vehicle. The first coupling element couples with the second coupling element when the first coupling element is in a coupling position, and the first coupling element uncouples from the second coupling element when the first coupling element is in an uncoupling position. A spring pivotally biases the first coupling element in the coupling position. A first pivotally suspends a pendulum from the first coupling member. A lifting element is disposed to underlie the path of travel of the toy vehicles, the lifting element being positioned to engage the pendulum when the pendulum passes over the lifting element such that the engagement of the pendulum by the lifting element is operable to effect pivoting of the first coupling member from its coupling to its uncoupling position.

摘要: A freight car classificaton system at a level classification yard is disclosed which may automatically classify and reclassify the cars to make up a new train. A freight car mover is installed along a receiving track and also along each of several classification tracks for pushing or retarding the cars to a predetermined speed. A group of freight car accelerator-retarders installed along the receiving track is adapted to accelerate or retard the cars at a predetermined speed. Groups of freight car accelerator-retarders installed along the classification tracks are also adapted to accelerate or retard the cars to a higher predetermined speed. An automatic decoupling unit is installed at a suitable position near the first group of accelerator-retarders along the receiving track so that any specific coupling between the cars may be automatically decoupled or disconnected as the cars move. The cars on the receiving track are sequentially pushed to a predetermined speed to the desired classification track and coupled to other freight cars at a predetermined speed. The classified cars on the classification tracks may then be automatically reclassified onto the receiving track to make up a new train.

摘要: The automatic releasing apparatus for couplers of railway vehicles comprises a circuit-like travelling guide rail positioned above a rail system and a number of robots suspending from the guide rail, each having automatic releasing mechanism for the couplers. Couplers of railway vehicles are adapted to send out the robots one by one by conforming the sending out speed to the speed of the railway vehicles so as to pull out locking cotters automatically by means of the releasing mechanisms of respective robots, and to restore the cotters to their starting position by moving the releasing apparatus along the travelling guide rail.
