Abstract: Distance measurements are performed by a fork pocket detection sensor at a position at which the fork pocket detection sensor faces one of fork pockets and at a position at which the fork pocket detection sensor faces the central position in the horizontal direction between the fork pockets on a pallet side face, and information obtained by combining pieces of distance-measurement information acquired by the distance measurements is compared with information of predefined shapes of the fork pockets, so as to specify the positions of the fork pockets. Hereby, it is possible to accurately detect the positions of the fork pockets without causing a decrease of conveyance efficiency.

Abstract: The invention relates to an agricultural device for semi-automatic movement of a holding tool, for holding an object, between two positions, said two positions being at different heights. The device comprises said holding tool for holding the object, load sensing means for determining if the holding tool holds an object, driving means (9) for moving the holding tool up and down, a control unit for controlling the driving means, and a user interface for user input to the control unit. The device can be used in two modes of operations, wherein the holding tool in a first mode of operation is freely movably, and in a second mode of operation is semi-automatically movable between a plurality of determined positions (URP, UPP, LRP, LPP) depending on if the holding tool is holding an object or not, and which command is given to the user interface. The invention further relates to an agricultural vehicle comprising such an agricultural device, a method for an agricultural device, for such semi-automatic movement, and software for obtaining information related to driving means, said software being adapted to perform the method according to the invention.

Abstract: A system for adjusting control of an industrial vehicle comprises a badge communicator that communicates with electronic badges that are in short range proximity of the industrial vehicle; and a controller coupled to memory, wherein the controller executes program code stored in the memory to adjust control of operating parameters of the industrial vehicle. The controller executes the program code to receive a badge identifier wirelessly transmitted by a detected electronic badge and identify a role associated with the badge identifier. Based on the role associated with the badge identifier, the controller modifies a set point of the industrial vehicle from a first set point to a second set point by communicating information concerning the set point to a vehicle control module of the electronic vehicle.

Abstract: A forklift includes a fuel cell system. The fuel cell system includes a battery stack and a capacitor and is electrically connected to a vehicle system. The vehicle system includes a control valve that switches supply of hydraulic oil to a power steering cylinder and a cargo-handling cylinder, a cargo-handling pump that supplies hydraulic oil stored in a hydraulic oil tank to the control valve, a cargo-handling motor that drives the cargo-handling pump, and an on-load valve that returns the hydraulic oil from the control valve to the hydraulic oil tank. The fuel cell system operates the fuel cell system to execute a warm-up control. A vehicle ECU continues supplying power from the fuel cell stack to the cargo-handling motor during the execution of the warm-up control.

Abstract: A pallet sled includes a lower frame and an upper frame. A plurality of pivot arms pivotably connect the upper frame to the lower frame. The upper frame is movable between a lowered position and raised position. The upper frame is spaced further from the lower frame in the raised position than in the lowered position. The upper frame is rotated slightly relative to the lower frame when moved from the lowered position to the raised position. In the example embodiment, the upper frame is rotated approximately 1.5 degrees to approximately 2.0 degrees toward the upright handle of the pallet sled.

Abstract: A pneumatic cylinder actuated pallet jack assembly for mechanically lifting and lower a pallet includes a pallet jack, a plurality of pneumatic cylinders, and a compressor. The forks of the pallet jack are slidably coupled to a frame of the pallet jack. Each of a pair of rear rollers that is coupled to a respective fork distal from the frame and a roller module that is slidably coupled to the frame are selectively vertically positionable. A tow bar is pivotally coupled to the frame proximate to the roller module. Pneumatic cylinders are operationally coupled singly to each of the forks, the pair of rear rollers, and to the roller module, and the compressor. The compressor is positioned to selectively actuate respective pneumatic cylinders to size a gap between the forks and to raise the forks and the frame to lift a load that is positioned on the pallet.
