摘要: A system for operating a radio frequency identification (RFID) system includes a remotely operable access point at an authentication point. A first trigger sensor detects an RFID signal from an RFID device associated with a user at a first trigger distance from the authentication point. A controller responsive to a signal detected from the RFID device exchanges data with the RFID device and determines whether the RFID device is authorized. A second trigger sensor exchanges data with the RFID device at a second trigger distance closer to the authentication point than the first trigger distance. The controller is responsive to data received from the RFID device at the second trigger sensor to enable the controlled access barrier to grant access to the user at the access point after exchanging data with the RFID device at the second trigger sensor only if the user has been authenticated.

School buses can be equipped with a bus system that executes a driver application. Students carry student identification (ID) systems that identify the students to the bus system, which in turn reports a geographic location to a student accountability system. The bus system is configured to permit rapid boarding and easy usage by drivers. The student accountability system provides a parent portal and an administrator portal to monitor the students and provide other useful functions.

摘要: A method of providing automatic real-time notifications to at least one user by an electronic locking system includes detecting whether the user is leaving a storage space secured by the electronic lock. The method further includes determining whether a latch of the electronic lock is open upon detecting the user is leaving the storage space. The method includes monitoring a change in location of a device of the user with respect to the electronic lock and displaying a first alert notification on the device if the location of the device is at a threshold level of a communication range and the latch status is open. Subsequently, the method includes determining whether the location of the device is outside of a geofence range in presence or absence of any user response to the first alert notification and displaying a second alert notification if the latch status is still open.

摘要: A security tag for use in a retail environment comprises a main body housing circuitry, the circuitry comprising an oscillator module connected to a buzzer for producing an audible alarm and a switch, and an elongate lanyard extending from the main body and including a normally closed sense loop electrically connected to the circuitry. The switch comprises a transistor. The circuitry is configured such that if the lanyard is cut or otherwise damaged so as to create an open circuit in the sense loop the transistor switch triggers the oscillator module to emit the audible alarm.

The intelligent boot manager initiates an engine start sequence of the vehicle in response to the engine start request.
